We just had a very strong long line of thunderstorms go through northwestern Sacramento County with a number of reports of tornado touchdowns! I heard on KFBK radio that it hit near Arco Arena and also in West Sacramento.

And alas, monitoring the NEXRAD radar on Weather Underground's website show that another line of strong storms is heading my way. I may have to duck and cover real quick about three hours from now.

We just got a tornado warning up in Sac, Yolo & Sutter. I saw a funnel clowd over I-5 as I was coming in to work to catch up on my day off.

How does the effect the "drought" that we in the east have heard is going on out there? Will this effect Lake Meade?

Excellent. I heard they were like 76 ft below normal a few months ago, and the enviros were having fun showing how stupid it was to fool with mother nature.

Alas, Sacramento and Yolo Counties did suffer some damage from the tornadoes that touched down in the North Natomas and West Sacramento areas. Check the web pages for the Sacramento Bee and KCRA TV and you can see some pretty amazing wind damage from those tornadoes.
