There are 64 posts so far on this thread and only my one post in #63 challenges this assertion that the Republicans from 1995-2000 stood for limited government?

This is a forum that helped bring down Dan RATher! Surely, some of you out there can peresent FACTS that prove this statement is crazy.

You are correct. The GOP from 95 to 2000 busted the spending caps,and trashed the contract,but Pence's point is still valid.Left to their own devices,the GOP congress(as bad as they were)never would have increased the department of Education 50% and they sure would not have passed a drug entitlement with outlays in the tens of trillions in the next several decades.You are right.Pence is right.
