Muslims Wake Up - Response to Freedom House Investigation
Free Muslims Against Terrorism ^ | 2-20-05 | FMAT

Posted on 02/21/2005 2:09:20 PM PST by Bob J

Muslim-bashing. That's the accusation many of my fellow Muslims now hurl at the various news outlets for their news stories about a Freedom House investigation that found extremist Islamic literature in some leading American mosques. This name-calling is unfortunate.

Since 1980, the Muslim world has experienced an enormous growth of religious fanaticism and extremism the likes of which Islam has not experienced in its 1,400 years. This movement continues to grow because of the spread of Wahhabi Islam; a sect that used to number no more than one percent of all Muslims, but because of money and technology, has spread to more areas around the world.

Extremism is also growing because of an ideology called political Islam. The basis of political Islam is the rejection of secularism and the belief that the mosque and the state should be completely intertwined. Unfortunately, history has shown that when politics and religion are completely intertwined, disaster results.

Most importantly, extremism in the Muslim world continues to grow because most Muslims are unwilling to admit that we have a problem with extremism and support for terrorism. The response by Muslims to the Freedom House report is not the first time that the Muslim community resorted to denial and accusations of Muslim-bashing when presented with evidence of Muslim culpability.

After September 11, many in the Muslim world chose denial and hallucination rather than face up to the sad fact that Muslims perpetrated the 9/11 terrorist acts. After 9/11, many Muslims, including religious leaders and "intellectuals," blamed 9/11 on a Jewish conspiracy, and went as far as fabricating a tale that 4,000 Jews did not show up for work in the World Trade Center on that day.

Since 9/11, the world has watched in horror as hundreds of schoolchildren were murdered in Russia by Chechen Muslim terrorists. Scores of civilians were murdered by Islamic terrorists in Spanish train bombings. Many others have been murdered in suicide bombings in buses, restaurants and other public places, human beings have been beheaded, two Russian passenger planes were blown out of the sky, and many, many atrocities that are too long to mention. All carried out by Muslims.

With all the evidence that Islam is facing a crisis, one wonders what it will take for Muslims to realize that those who commit mass murder in the name of Islam are not just a few fringe elements. What will it take for Muslims to realize that we are facing a crisis potentially more deadly than the AIDS epidemic? What will it take for Muslims to realize that there is a large, evil movement that is turning what was a peaceful religion into a death cult?

Will Muslims wake up before it is too late? Or will we continue blaming an imaginary Jewish conspiracy and entities like The Dallas Morning News for all our problems? The blaming of all Muslim problems on others is a cancer that is destroying Muslim society. And it must stop.

Muslims must wake up, look inward and put a stop to many of our religious leaders who spend most of their sermons teaching hatred, intolerance and violent jihad. We should not be afraid to admit that as Muslims we have a problem with violent extremism. We should not be afraid to admit that so many of our religious leaders belong behind bars, and not behind a pulpit.

Only moderate Muslims can challenge and defeat extremist Muslims. We can no longer afford to be silent. If we remain silent to the extremism within our community, then we should not expect anyone to listen to us when we complain of stereotyping and discrimination by non-Muslims. We should not be surprised when the world treats all of us as terrorists. And we should not be surprised when we are profiled at airports.

Simply put, not only do Muslims need to join the war against extremism and terror, we need to take the lead in this war.

what would you have them do?

Your first mistake is expecting rationality from hatred, and I'm not talking about the Muslims.

There are some "Christians" on this forum who hate Muslims the way Satan hates God.

You don't know the Koran, and you don't know the history of Islam, obviously. You're sucked in by the sweet-sounding words of Muslims. That's your problem. But as I said in my first post on this thread, I think it's sick that you put their propoganda on this forum.

You really need to lay off the Jack Chick tracts.

They've had 1350 years.

It took the Christian church about 1500 years.

Paranoid? Tell that to the very few Christians who have maintained their identity and continue to live among them in the Middle East.

Mistake number one. A minority of Muslims live in the Middle East. The majority of Muslims live in Asia and indonesia.

Good God.

I say that for two reasons:

1: Your posts.

2: You've made Bob look good, in a relative way.

Oh, and re "God" . . .

You'll have to trust me that it's the right one.

"Yeah. Just toss that Declaration of Independence and Constitution; they're just words."

Exactly! They are just words!

Words without action are simply words. A monkey can be taught to write words.
Our forefathers took the words of those documents and built a nation, but the words by themselves mean nothing.
Faith without works is dead, and words without action are as useless as teats on a boar hog.

The muzzies have never followed their words with action; they are as meaningless as an outside toliet paper holder on an outhouse.

Excellent post! I see you have read the "holy" Korap as have I.

For me the bottom line is this: I would never belong to a religion that tells me to kill my neighbors for not joining that religion... and I would never trust or respect anyone who did belong to such a "religion", even if they promised not to obey their religion (for now).

And I think it's chicken-**** to go in the tank for a bunch of pagans you consider "moderate" and "courageous."

Perhaps some feed their fellow Americans to the Islamic tide in hopes of being swept away last.

None survive when freedom fails;
Good men rot in filthy jails,
While those who cried, "Appease! Appease!"
Are hanged by those they tried to please.

The trouble is that the cowards usually get better men killed in their stead.

That guy is not worth your response, my friend. Ignore those types. There is nothing you can say to sway them from their prayer rugs.

"That lying is a way of life to muslims?"

NAAAAWWW! Do you reckon??!

I wonder if one of these "moderate" muzzie leaders would consent to being hooked up with a lie detector test while he's touting the Religion of Peace?

This isn't a war between Christianity and Islam. It's a war between Islam and the civilized world.

Since you've weighed in, tell me this: Until now, why has there never been a Muslim democracy? And don't say anything about Turkey. I'm talking about a republican form of government, which protects human rights and due process/the rule of law.

What's been stopping them?

(hint: respect for human rights and the rule of law are incompatible with Islam. Go ahead. Say it. You can do it.)

I don't hate them. But I have eyes. Why do you think the source of rancor, violence and hatred in the world today -- by and large -- is Muslims?

Just answer it. It's true. Muslims kill and blow things up. Why can't they act like human beings? Just give me the answer.

No, I don't hate them. But I want the enemies of my country wiped out.

Dear Bennett46

Has Imam Polazzi(sp) responded to the arrest and deportation of Moussa?

Imam Palazzi agreed to the arrest. I've heard this man over the radio speaking like St. Francis, even going so far as to suggest that the Israelis' right to their country is in the Koran and that Arabs should not only make peace, but strive towards a type of Common Market.

Wonderful stuff, undeniably wonderful. Another example of how Islam would be harmless if filtered through Christianity... that is, if Jesus were the one picking and choosing the ayas.

Frankly, I've come to the conclusion that the evil of Islam is not in the bad injunctions, but in the MIX of good and bad injunctions. This is what allows the religion to pretend that it is all about peace and brotherhood. It is the religion of many masks, an amorphous thing without organization. You and I could be wonderful Muslims too, all the more so if reared in countries of Judeo-Christian values.

Could it be a coincidence that the closer one goes to the physical capitals of the Sunni and Shia (respectively Saudi Arabia and Iran) the more oppressively the religion is interpreted?

Imam Palazzi? A front man.

I'm talking about the "very few Christians" left in the Middle East, not the Muslims.

The middle east was mainly Christian until the mass genocides and forced conversions when the Muslims invaded.

Asia and in particular Indonesia is another story and where Muslims live today is well known.

I don't know, Hudobna. I do not trust these people of Islam.

A fellow Freeper posted a link to a website called Let the Children Know.com...that is how I came to read a monograph by Imam Palazzi. It was an amazing analysis of the Koran vis a vis the Jewish right to Israel, and Jerusalem.

After I posted you regarding any statement from Imam Palazzi on Moussa's ejection from Italy; I thought he might already be dead.

If he is an honest man I hope he is able to continue his work; but he might already be under a fatwa.

Again, thank you for your previous posts on this thread. They are brilliant.
