Terri Schiavo's Feeding Tube Remains, Husband Can't Starve Her Yet (Quotes)

Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- A local judge has ruled that the estranged husband of Terri Schiavo cannot starve her to death tomorrow and has set a hearing this week to determine if he should be prevent from doing so while her parents continue their legal battle to save her life.

Michael Schiavo intended to remove Terri's feeding tube on Tuesday afternoon once a Florida appeals court finalizes its decision against Terri's parents Bob and Mary Schindler.

The Schindlers has hoped to convince the court that starving Terri to death would violate her religious liberties. As a Catholic, the Schindlers contend Terri would not want to have her life ended.

The Schindlers are planning to take that fight to the Supreme Court and, while they appeal, they want Michael prevented from ending Terri's life.

On Monday afternoon, Circuit Court Judge George Greer ruled that Michael will have to wait until he can hold a hearing on whether to allow the stay preventing the starvation to continue. Judge Greer set a date for a hearing on Wednesday.

While Terri is not on artificial life support and can breathe on her own, she requires a gastric tube to provide her with food and water. Should that be removed, she will die from a painful 7 to 10-day long starvation death.

George Felos, the euthanasia advocate who is Michael's lead attorney, has instructed him to remove the feeding tube as soon as he is legally authorized.

In addition to their legal fight, the Schindlers have brought in pro-life activist Randall Terry to encourage grassroots support on Terri's behalf.

"If Michael Schiavo has Terri's feeding tube removed, we will respond with an avalanche of activism to save Terri from death by starvation," Terry said Monday afternoon. "Why is Michael determined to starve this woman? Why won't he just give Terri back to her parents?"

"I believe that the man is concerned that if the parents gain custody, she will thrive under their care and eventually reach the point where she might be able to tell what happened to her"

I agree completely! I've said this since first hearing of this case.
Pray for Terri.

Dred Scott is very applicable here...as it is in abortion cases. Human beings are not property.

The involvement of Christians [individuals who have accepted Jesus as more than savior] is great and I have no doubt that most of that is motivated by a desire to see someone set free.

However, if you read the majority of posts concerning this subject it is nothing more than a victim seminar with all these bitter types speaking empty words, condescension and malignancy.

Few speak God's Word. Yet many imply a form of Godliness in their motive. As if He needs them or their participation.
My rebuke is for the fakers. Those keen to type and loath to get on their knees [because the really do not know God anyway].

All of this banging of the drum under the banner of righteousness ...and most of them would crucify Jesus the minute he encroached on their opinion of Him.

It is essential to hit Fox News with corrections about Terri's condition.

Also, we might want to e-mail Nancy Grace with brief facts about this story. She has a new show on CNN.

Lets pray also that law enforcement is investigating Mr. Schiavo and his outrageous actions as a guardian and Terri's medical history that Dr. Badden said indicated she had been beaten and abused. Mr Schiavo is doing every thing possible to keep Terri from ever speaking again.

No...I doubt you would understand Elijah at all. Elijah went by God's principles...and God does not condone murder. You responded quite rudely to a person who was trying to be pleasant to your point of view, incidentally. Just thought I'd mention.

You're saying people here who speak for Terri in Christ's name would crucify Christ in a minute? You really can't make that judgment call, my friend...and it's wrong of you to make that claim. You can't read a person's heart...and you don't seem to understand the degree of anguish in people's hearts over this issue.

If they moved her to Abu Graib or Gitmo, they couldn't do this.

Hey! Didn't you and I witness Terry Schiavo planting antrax and aiding and abetting known Al-Quadi associates? We did, didn't we. Looks like its off to Gitmo for her...

That's what non Christians want us to do,they don't want us involved in politics, etc., just shut up and pray.

"Yeah, just shut up and get back into the prayer closet. How dare you try to exercise dominion down here on earth."

Ah, and of course wisdom walked in the door.

"No...I doubt you would understand Elijah at all. Elijah went by God's principles...and God does not condone murder."

Really...1st Kings 18;40...And Elijah said to them, "Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!" So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.

Yawn.

If I was Terry's father, I would in no uncertain terms let the husband know, that the moment my daughter dies, his life is also forfeited, DONE, OVER, WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY.

He would know my word is absolutely good.

And another...

"Yeah, just shut up and get back into the prayer closet. How dare you try to exercise dominion down here on earth."

Oivey...prayer is exercising dominion. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Well yes and no. Otherwise, the author of that verse (Paul) would have just stayed holed up some were and prayed all day long.

I do understand your point about the strongman. The strongman of death has been given great strength from all of the abortion and Terry's case is just a side symptom.

No...there is no "Yes & No".

Paul said faith without works is dead.
Not works without faith is dead.

Faith is first. It is through faith that all of creation was formed. It is through faith that Jesus gave Himself. It is through faith that the Holy Spirit descended into hell and brought Him out...and if this Woman is to be delivered, faith [In God's Word: Logos & Rhema] will come first. Not 150 busy-body freepers typing away at their PCs because they're pissed off.

That's nothing more than a form of masterbation.
