SOME CONGRESSMEN WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING - EVEN ABOUT THE CBS MEMOS

Suppose you were a member of Congress, and you wanted to make sure no one ever took you seriously, other than a hard-core group of true believers who bought into conspiracy theories?

Could you come up with a better plan to accomplish that goal than this?

Congressman Maurice Hinchey, Democrat of New York, speaking at a community forum in Ithaca, New York:

Probably the most flagrant example of that is the way they set up Dan Rather. Now, I mean, I have my own beliefs about how that happened: it originated with Karl Rove, in my belief, in the White House

To believe that Rove set CBS up, we would have to believe that Rove was both clever enough and dishonest enough to concoct an obvious forgery, anticipating that CBS would ignore the fact that it was a forgery. Even if this could be true, it would not come close to excusing CBS.

Congressman Hinchey states, ". And it was only — what, like was it CBS? Or whatever, whatever which one Rather works for."

This moron went through all the press and coverage about Dan Rather and still wasn't sure which network he WORKED for????? Scary that someone so dense actually can be elected for anything!

You know, not long ago if we said things like that we'd end up going "OK, that's going too far." But now it's accurate. These people have gone so out there because they are not getting satisfaction with more or less normal rhetoric and ideas.

"And how about that JFK assassination? Who do we know who's from TEXAS?!?!?!?!" (wild applause from DUmmies)

'The DUmmies actually believe that Bush41 was in on the assasination of JFK.'

I haven't heard that one. The last I heard was, it was Nixon and Clint Murcheson (sp?). Must be true, I saw it on THE HISTORY CHANNEL.

Hannity lives in Stephen Israel's district in Suffolk County. Hinchey's district is an upstate district that snakes around picking up pockets of Dem strength here and there.

Maurice Hinchey's 22nd district NY. Why would anyone vote for this whack job? Is the district zoned for moonbats only? Sane people not allowed?

Maurice Hinchey's 22nd district NY is computer gerrymandered to insure only psychopath morons, oops I meant loyal democrats, are the dominant voters.

The Rats could run Lenin and still win. Come to think about it, as a student of history, I can assure you that Lenin would be an improvement over Maurice Hinchey.

Hinchey will never have a cogent moment as long a GWB is President. When GWB was running in 2000, he came to Binghamton for the St. Patricks Day parade.Hinchey pushed and elbowed his way to the front and introduced himself to the future President who replied: "Get your own f___ing parade."

GWB may have lost a few votes with that retort (like he'd ever carry New York anyway), but he earned my undying love for his ability to size people up on the spot.

And don't forget about the 'killing' of Paul Wellstone by having the CIA rig his plane to crash.

Pure genius. The GOP/CIA operatives knew the Democrats would turn the funeral into a partisan political campaign rally full of balloons, music, and rhetoric. The DUmmies may be on to something there.

Where are the quotation marks? I want quotation marks or an explanation as to why they are not there. Untill then, my judgement is pending.
