Do you support Sen. Hillary Clinton's legislation that would reinstate voting rights to convicted felons who have paid their debt to society?

FReeped...67% No
Will have to replace lost minority votes with someone won't they?
I tried to vote but I had a felony conviction (hey, she didn't LOOK thirteen) so they won't let me.
I know that other rights can be restored to convicted persons by applying to the convicting body for a "relief of disability". I wonder if one can regain one's right to vote this way already? There are already options for truly reformed and I wonder if voting is among them?
I need more information. Is there a Lier....er Constitutional Lawyer out there that cares to answer this?
Totally rediculous! Voted
FELONS -- another democrat special interest group.
Mark Levin talked to a guy last week who had done time in prison. I believe he was from New York State. He moved to Florida and applied to get his voting rights reinstated and was successful. There are ways, but I think it depends on the state.
Ever hear of taxation without representaion?
We won our freedom from England over just such an issue.
Representaion = Representation
Frankly, I'm against it because it comes from Her Heinous as much as for any other reason.
I'd be open to a "case by case" basis, except that we know full well how the cases would be decided in RAT areas; in favor of RAT voters, against all others!
There they are...the 30% who always vote for any democrat no matter what they do.
Done.
So if your willing to put time into retrieving this jewel of a free society, and you can prove you are a reformed person, a good, hard working citizen, then I agree, put out the effort and be found capable and get back your voting rights...but NOT a blanket restoration of voting rights so some hack from Illinois via Little Rock via the beltway and currently carpetbagging in NY can gain a new voting block.......
In over 30 states felons can vote after completion of sentence.
Voting Rights Restoration Process
With the exception of federal convictions, this is a state's rights issue. hillary's argument is a red herring.

The purpose of having such a law was to hopefully keep people from committing felons so they would not lose the right to vote. I do not care if they did pay their dues to society, it does not seem to stop them from having long rap sheets.
Only a democrat will scream for the rights of a felon and screw the victim. Ain't that like a democrat. Once more, the victim is nothing while the felon has all the rights and getting more. Ain't that so Judges and Lawyers?
Maybe, just maybe if they make complete restitution. But how do they ever "pay their debt to society" if they've raped or killed someone?
Now, I understand the 25% supporting Billary (they are the bed-wetters). But 2% unsure? What's there to be unsure about?
