Have you seen Jodi Rell's latest tobacco tax proposals?
Do you honestly believe that the people of Connecticut are going to pay these proposed tobacco taxes rather than ordering on-line or out-of-state in other ways?
Jodi is going to turn hundreds of thousands of law-abiding citizens into "criminals".
She will be the one causing "anarchy" with oppressive tax laws.

Will some smokers buy elswhere ? Yes. will it be significant ? No. Will those who do it be in violation of the law ? yes.

Thank God I live close enough to the border that I can buy gas cheaper in another state and often make trips to NH and Maine and can stop at the NH Liquor Store. Shopping for furniture, appliances, etc...gee which state has the lowest sales tax?
If Rell had ANY brains she would make buying anything in Connecticut more attractive to people from the other states.
What a concept! Lower taxes and increase revenues!
