Huh? Independent Dem groups?

Independent from what/whom?

What the heck does independent mean?

I'm sure it's a typo mewz...I think it meant to read "in Depends."

To be sure, any lawsuit will stay far away from any suggestion the network was motivated by political bias.

The whole purpose of the investigation and report from Thornburgh and that other clown was to give the appearance of really smacking down CBS ("scathing report", lol!) while downplaying or ignoring the two most critical elements of the whole fiasco - - the forged military documents and the blatant political bias. Which is exactly why the report was so quickly laughed off as a pathetic whitewash.

Maybe a few lawsuits will finally get to the bottom of these critical questions surrounding Rather's and CBS's attempt to fix a Presidential election using forged military documents. (By the way, why is nobody in freaking JAIL??)

That being said, since CBS apparently went to great lengths to cover their behinds by orchestrating the investigation and report to whitewash the questions of forgeries and political bias, then I predict that CBS will cough up tons 'o cash to make sure no lawsuit ever makes it to trial.

These three producers were very smart to get nasty. The inevitable settlements will make them very rich.

Democrat Congressman (Hinchey - D, NY) just made the claim that Rove was behind planting the memos, even claimed he had proof.

Well, Congressman Hinchey if you truly believe Rove is behind this PROVE IT. If not...JUST BE QUIET and stop talking about things you know nothing about. These people are so pathetic it's just mind boggling. Pathetic to the bone.

Hey! I've got platinum pajamas too!

Well, more like a yellowing straighjacket. Hard to type with my elbows.

I am so out of step in the new jammie power fashions.
I'm still way back in the dark ages of lace and satin nighties.
Where do I go to trade it all in for full coverage platinum and straightjackets?

"It was amazing Thursday to watch the documents story go from FreeRepublic.com, a bastion of right-wing lunacy, to Drudge to the mainstream media in less than 12 hours," said Jim Jordan, a strategist for independent Democratic groups opposed to Bush.

For the record, this is the husband of Lara Jakes Jordan, unbiased AP reporter.

There's an advantage being up against a puffed up ego maniac, they overplay the hand....

If he had run that 60 min. without the documents he'd still be there.
