"...Most of them would have been Poles, Russians, Ukrainians... from the French foreign legion..."

The foreign legion has about 8.000 men in duty. That means that the rest of the 20.000 would have been regular French soldiers. 12.000 soldiers in a conflict that is not your own under the control of somebody you do not like??! Absolutely not funny. Furthermore I think that the French public would not make any difference between the foreign legion and other french soldiers since they have a very civil society.

"...It will happen in 20-30 years. The number of Germans, who think that former DDR is Middle Germany is already growing..."

Those who think that the former DDR is still middle Germany, usually have an IQ of about +/- 50 and live from welfare near Hoyerswerda. Do you really think, that they will have anything substantical to decide in my country? It is wrong to compare Germany's political situation with the 20ties or 30ties of the last century, since most of my compatriots are much better educated than ever before. We learned the lesson well that blind and unintelligent nationalism leads to decay and destruction. Hitler is not possible in Germany anymore. That is a fact. The "Jutta Steinbach Bullsh**" was no big issue in Germany, since most Germans have absolutely no interest in reclaiming those areas we forfeit after WWII. Political dadaism - nothing more. East Germany was really a nightmare to most Germans in the west, since we lost every form of patriotism a long time ago. Germany mutated into a society were the individum is much more important than the country or the nation. Therefore i.E. to most "Wessis" reunification was complete bullsh**. We had no personal benefits from it. Just a waste of money and time. This is something that is often not understood in other countries who had another socialization than we have. Poles have a completely different viewpoint according to their nation. For most of your fellow citizens (and probably yourself too) it would be important, if Poland would grow spacial. This is different in Germany: Since we would have absolutely no personal benefits in annexing Kaliningrad, it is extremly improbable that we will provoke a dispute over this (for us worthless) piece of land.

"...Most of Russian resources is located in Siberia, which sooner or later will be overtaken by China - near the Russian-Chinese border there live about 3 million people (including already hundreds thousand of Chinese) on the Russian side and about 120 million people on the Chinese side..."

Since Putin and his successors can wink with roundabout 9.000 nuclear warheads, the Chinese will stay inside their own territorium for eating their fortune cookies. Believe me - Putin would nuke them to the Saturn if they step over the border, since those resources are the key to a good future for everybody in Russia. This will be not negotiable.

"The foreign legion has about 8.000 men in duty."

I know it.

"That means that the rest of the 20.000 would have been regular French soldiers."

Yes, but most of the dirty job would have been done by Legionaries.
BTW Do you know that foreigners may also serve in the US military ? There is probably more Polish citizens in the US than in the Polish Army in Iraq.
You say that France wouldn't have sent soldiers to Iraq anyway, because the people hadn't liked it... France has free media, but government has still some propaganda abilities, besides for example in Poland 70% of the people is against our military presence in Iraq, but we will keep them at least until the end of this year. 70% of those 70% don't really care about it, but anyway even in democracy opinion of the people is not always the most important.

"Since Putin and his successors can wink with roundabout 9.000 nuclear warheads..."

I'm not talking about open conflict and not about the near future.
Chinese people are already crossing the border, because Russians need cheap workers and because they can't protect those thousands miles long borders.
Sooner or later Chinese people will be the majority in many regions of Asian Russia.

Putinists on this forum love to say that socialistic Poland has 20% unemployment rate and accession to The Fourth Reich (!) means the end of Polish independence, while conservative and pro free economy Russia has (thanks to Putin of course) only 7%...
In reality Polish problems are a joke compared with those in Russia - very bad demographic situation, AIDS, alcoholism etc.
Russia is fighting for survive and that's why Putin is so aggressive - they are developing nuclear weapons and want to keep control of the resources (nationalization of Yukos), because without nukes and resources they wouldn't be more important than Brazil, but the only thing that may save Russia are close relations with EU as a whole (not only France and Germany) US and Japan, however with these imperialistic feelings and without re-brainwashing after 70 years of communism I doubt that they will do it.

My country is in the comfortable position to do without those "soldiers of fortune", since we do not have the SS-Division "Charlemagne" and all this other bullshi* anymore. If you have to keep such maneaters among your forces, something has gone terribly wrong. Nations who do that act like a pimp who needs his doberman or his mastino to impress poor and helpless girls on the street. It is the same thing if you have to employ "security companies" with mercenaries to break civillians on hostile soil. No honor - just disgrace.

It is good to know, that my brothers in Poland have forces that are founded inside their society. Since they serve for defense and freedom and not for selfish "super-power ambitions" or whatever, they deserve great respect and honor. As long as forces have a broad basement in the society of their nation they can't be misused for those "power-auto-erotic-games" that are played so often by selfish politicians. Every time when soldiers join into a "secret" fraternity with old "secret traditions" and "honor", you can assume that someting went terribly wrong. I know what I am talking about, since I have been a member of our new millitary and my grandfather served as a professional officer in the Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht during the 30ties and WWII.

"...Putinists..."

There is hope for Putinists, Stalinists, Hitlerists or Whoeverists. Such things can be healed in a good mental home with straight medicamentation. I will never understand people who identify completly with such an icon. Another form of automutilation of the brain. Very regrettable persons.

"...on this forum love to say that socialistic Poland has 20% unemployment rate and accession to The Fourth Reich (!) means the end of Polish independence, while conservative and pro free economy Russia has (thanks to Putin of course) only 7%..."

BUHUHAHAHAHA! We all know that is BS. Fanatics always argue on a very low level since they are usually dumb and hateful idiots. It is the same primitive form of hate that some people project onto my country because of its tendency to go its own ways since a few years. Anyhow it is a question of survial for us Europeans to push Russia into the right direction. There is hope. Just think about Ukraine. I never thought that this could have been possible.
