Election 2004 - "Exit-Poll Disinformation Hoax Backfires?" Part IV
PoliSat.com ^ | 1/05 | Col. John H. Wambough, Jr. USAF (Ret.)

Statistical Analysis of Disinformation Exit Polls - Whether the CACTECH/MIT Voting Technology Project (and December 5th Addendum) or analysis being done by statisticians such as Stephen F. Freeman (who likely understates sampling errors for Election 2004 exit polls), their analysis is mainly focused on the backend of the exit-poll controversy (on data that emerged after polls closed). My concerns are at the front-end with the early disinformation data (before any polls closed) that hoodwinked the American people into believing Kerry would win the election. Why would any exit-polling company circulate data to the broadcast Networks that Kerry was winning in a landslide in Pennsylvania by 20 points, Minnesota by 18 points, Wisconsin by 9 points and New Hampshire by 18 points? Which National Network was this data suppose to help in its Election Day analysis? What were trained election statisticians suppose to do with false data?

The National Networks use of exit polling in Elections 2000 and 2004 suggest that their primary purpose for exit polls is to assist Democrats win elections. Election Day exit-poll analysis appears secondary to getting a Democrat in the White House. Influencing the outcome of National Elections via early exit-poll disinformation has become the Election Day modus operandi of the Networks. To understand exit-polls, visit "Mystery Pollster - Demystifying the Science and Art of Political Polling" and "Exit-Polls: What You Should Know" and Have the Exit Polls Been Wrong Before? - By Mark Blumenthal. For those concerned about voting machine accuracy, suggest "Voting Machines and the Underestimate of the Bush Vote" by CALTECH/MIT Voting Technology Project (and the December 5th Addendum). Also, suggest reading: “A Tour of the 2004 Exit Poll: What it Says and What it Doesn’t” By Roy Telxeira.

But--the networks didn't go to air with the info did they?? Not the state-by-state info at least. The only people who knew about it were them and people like us.

The liberals are crooks, plain and simple, whose ethics are wholly based on the "ends justify the means" mentality. Thankfully, they were unsuccessful in their attempts to get their man elected.

In the 2000 Election it was "Calling" Florida Early before the polls closed in the panhandle.

Election tampering for the Democrats by the media is flagrant... Calling a state the ended up with a 500 vote victory should have been investigated.

By contrast, there were states in the south that Bush won handily that weren't called until very late... so late in fact, that the only states still voting were in the far west.

Rathergate is small potatoes compared to the rampant media tampering in BOTH elections.

I don't think we need a Congressional Investigation into this. These exit polls will go down in history along with Dan Rather's "documents" and the rest of the bloviating Bush-bashing that issued from the media, as nails in the coffin of the media's credibility on elections.

The media is a partisan player in the process, and everybody saw it. They might as well register as Democrat 527's for all the credibility they'll have next time.

All we have to do is remind people, prior to the next election, that we can expect more of the same from a media that so wants the Democrats to win they they will pump out falsified garbage to make it happen.

It's the semi-annual November Media Surprise. What will it be next time? More bogus exit polls? More trumped-up "documents" to spear the Republicans at the last minute? Who knows? But whatever it is, we'll all know it when we see it. And we shouldn't worry for a minute that the public won't see right through it.

The media has lost the public's trust on these issues. They were too blatant, too many times. It almost doesn't matter what they do next time. It won't work.

Bill Sammon's book on how the media manipulated the polling results for the 2000 election is enough to give fits to any intellectually honest citizen.

The the author's rhetorical question:

Which National Network was this data suppose to help in its Election Day analysis?

The answer is painfully obvious... the MSM networks... ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR... all liberal organizations that would then push the false information with plausible deniability when it turns out wrong later iof their efforts to MAKE IT TRUE FAIL!

The media faked polling data in 2000, as well, declaring Florida for Gore long before the data supported such a claim. In 2004, the media did it again by declaring Traitor John the victor. Kerry's "lead" spread all over, certainly fueled by the internet. But, the media .is so old timey that maybe it didn't realize what would happen.

The exit poll mendacity did have, I believe, a major effect on the electorate. Rather than cause good guys to stay home and not vote, it galvanized them to act. It made the scumbag voters complaiscent and caused many, many, many Ohio dem precinct thugs to put cash in their own pockets instead of paying the black thugs and union members to cast a couple more votes. Most important it kept the young voters at home watching MTV and doing more dope.

The dem strategery to falsify exit poll data backfired and worked in favor of the honest folks. The crapweasels would be spinning it this way if they could find any one in the msm that wasn't a card carrying leftie.
