Please pray for my 17 year old daughter's safety, that the Lord is watching over her and protecting her from harm. I just filed a missing persons report with the Columbus Police Department about an hour ago, when it became apparent that I was not going to get the usual call from her letting me know where she was.
I left for work at 10:45 am and the last thing she said was that she was going to get her hair cut. No e-mail, no phone calls to me throughout the course of the day, which struck me as odd, because we hadn't had any harsh words and life seemed to be great. I got off work at 9 pm and she wasn't home, which isn't unusual because she spends alot of time with Young Life. Hours passed, no phone call. By 2 I was nearly hysterical with worry. I have left messages on her friends' cell phones hoping for a call back. I am sorry to say that I was not able to give the officer a description of what she was wearing, only a picture.
This is SO out of character for this young lady. She's always been the responsible one, even though she has been suffering from Senior-itis this year and has tested the boundaries to the limit. I am so frightened thinking of the possibilities here that I don't know where to turn, and I would appreciate your prayers tonight. I am hoping that perhaps she told me she'd be sleeping over tonight at a friend's house, but I have racked my brain, and frankly, I just don't remember any conversation like that taking place. (I haven't had a day off in 3 weeks.)
Christina is on her way home as I type this. I went to the home where the party was held, only to discover that her car WAS in fact parked across the street. I called the police to have them meet me there and they went inside and immediately started upstairs and into all the rooms of the house. The mother (I use that term loosely) seemed to have no problem with underage kids drinking in her home while she worked last night, claiming that "everyone left here with a designated driver." Lovely.....at that point the officers asked me to leave before I got MYSELF in trouble and informed me that the Vice Squad would handle it from there.
I started banging on parent's doors from that point until I found the Mom of the girl she had left with. One call to her cell phone and we had them located. They had spent the night at another girlfriend's house and should be home any minute. I have a feeling from the way she sounded that she won't be trying alcohol again. I want to thank you all for your love and support and brainstorming throughout this ordeal. I will pray extra hard tonight for all of you, and for those whose outcomes were less fortunate.
Well, praise God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the Father of Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
Thanks be to the Lord, Jesus Christ!
Sunshine, I'm proud of you!
Sunshine, pay attention to post number 45. Dandelion has given you some great advice.
In my state, California, we have what is called an Amber Alert. We have recovered a lot of missing children using it. If Ohio has such a system ask the police to issue an alert. It will turn every motorist in the state into a pair of watchful eyes.
Finally, write a description of your daughter and her car and ping every freeper in Ohio. We are all praying for you.
Good news bump!!!
See # 300. She has been found!
Praise God for a fortunate outcome. I'm so happy for you that Christina is safe and on her way home. We do have a Wonderful and Merciful Father God.
Sunshine found her! See # 300!
Amen!
Great news. Thank God...
Thank God she's safe. Don't kill her when she gets home.

Sunshine55, when you get a chance, please, tell us more about this. How can we find out if she will be charged?
Great news!
Warmest regards,
