Ping to #35 - we think alike...
I live somewhere between 42 and 56.
Didn't the Dems try something like that Nov 2nd?
If someone did the poll Nov 3, all the blue states would be the more stressed ones... heheh
Sorry I misunderstood you. I meant overall politeness to strangers on the road, in places of business, at the zoo, etc. We felt welcomed, that those around us generally had the best interests of others at heart (except in North St. Louis ;-) ). I worked at home as an independent for most of the time I was there so didn't encounter job-interview situations.
Wrong, Arlington, Texas has to be the most stressful city in the USofA. We were bombed long before Sept. 11th.=o)
I just had an idea...... wonder how many cities on this list were red and how many blue? That would be a great study.
I'll do it tomorrow and post here.
Bob
L.A. is much more laid back than KS. I don't know about SF or Chicago.
if you do it, PING ME
If they don't look at the tax rates, welfare dependence and the number of RAT commissars that rule a city, this poll ain't worth jack.
But where is Macon, GA?
Oh wait, I'm sorry, that's not a real city, or maybe it is.....
But maybe it isn't.......a few tall-ish buildings does not a city make.......
Unfortunately, I'm stuck here until the military sends me elsewhere.........
such is life, I suppose........
This whiney response was paid for by the Democratic National Committee, though the political views of the author may have nothing to do with the what the Democratic commitee believes in (you'd better believe it), we'll sponsor it anyway, because it is whiney and self-pitying. Quite Frankly, I'll bet the author is drunk and bored at the moment. Everyone should be happy to live in such a socialist utopia as Macon, GA! (pardon me, I was being bitter for a moment there)
And now, for something completely different.......
Yea! New Orleans is #3! However, anywhere in England is stressful (apart from freakin' Iraq, that is), because of their semi-socialist stance on not punishing anyone for crime makes me more scared to walk down the street in broad daylight as opposed to walking naked down Bourbon Street on my hands at midnight...The Brits really have lost the plot...
Have you lived in Kansas?
LOL - and my stateside hometown is #13.
I guess when I go home, it'll be like going from the fire to the frying pan?
Yep and the little commie mayor is the top boss of the whole rotten gang.
It ought to be interesting, that's for certain...
I live in downtown Tacoma, I guess: South 15th, east of Sprague, and west of pacific.
I'm quite surprised. Coming from the east coast, I find Seattle very relaxing, politically aggrivating, but no where near the stress levels of DC or Philly. However, based on the TV news, it seems that all the crime is in Tacoma, so I can see where it might be stressful down there.
What's the criterion for this list anyway? If it's traffic, then, yeah, I'll bump Seattle to the top.
I would move to Florida in an instand. I hate the cold and hate snow. I've become crotchety like my mom.
