No doubt this will be used to advance gun control.

Undoubtedly. How many other issues do you figure they'll twist somehow?

I'm a fan of "Law & Order" (and wiill miss Jerry Orbach). The shows are very well-written and acted. I just wish they would keep politics out of the show.
To: rellimpank
Ah geez. That's going to be painful for a lot of folks up North...

There's a poll on the link. I'm not surprised by the results so far.

That "semi-automatic" you saw was an AR-15, the one used was an SKS. Big differance in looks. One has a wood stock and looks like a hunting rifle and the other is "evil black (no longer baned) assault rifle. Actually the rifle wasn't banned, only the flash suppressor and bayonet lug. But thats another subject.

---I didn't make the firearm out on the trailer, just heard "semi-automatic". I have one of each.
According to the sheriff's report that made it to the internet, the weapon actually used in the Wisconsin shooting was a Siaga-a sporterized AK-action variant--

I didn't see that report. I did catch a pic of the weapon and the saiga AK does lookmlike a SKS, bothe have the "sporter" style stock. Thanks for the info.

I just wish they would keep politics out of the show. You're kidding, right? What would the show be without politics?

Shouldn't you send your wife a scathing letter of disapproval, instead?
To: coloradan
No doubt this will be used to advance gun control.Yup.......They will do exactly that. They will show both sides, but as little of one side in particular as they can get away with. This is why I do not watch the show.

*SIGH* The bodies are hardly in the ground and the perp hasn't even been to trial yet! And on top of that, our drunk and DUI arrested Attorney General is going to try the case herself and revive her lame-o career! Such indignities!
I will be REALLY p*ssed if this show ends up causing a mis-trial. Look what happened with that "TV Show Expert" and the Andrea Yates murder case?
Is there no shred of decency left in this world?

Dear God. What is wrong with these people to even consider such a show?
Everywhere we turn, these days, there is someone who just doesn't get it.

No matter how hard people try to keep some values and morals wthin our society, it appears the Steamroller is becoming too big for us to stop. (In spite of our recent gains, I'm not very optimistic lately.)
