is it just me, or is Glendale a rain magnet? I commute from Universal to Pasadena, and there are days when it's not raining anywhere but Glendale. It's weird.

I beleive the updrafts around the mountains contribute to increased levels of rain. My folks that live ten miles from me in La Cresenta, get double or more rain that we do in Glendale. About a decade ago, I measured how much rain they got one spring. It was an unusual year, but I lost track at about 45 inches. I don't remember how many times now, but the five inch collector overflowed on occasion, meaning that I potentially lost inches of rain for my record keeping. That's a lot of rain.

I commute to Van Nuys each day to work. It's the strangest thing I've seen, but the small area where I work, is always experiencing a downpore about double the rainfall I've driven in on the way to get there.
