The label sons of God refers to those who come directly from God. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. Adam was called a son of God as he was directly created by God. The angels are called sons of God as they were directly created by God. All of mankind except Noah and his close family were judged and destroyed in the flood. Many would have been descendants of Seth but they certainly were not sons of God. Christians are the sons of God but this is only through adoption.
