Hutterites warn Martin that Canada could face biblical wrath for same-sex law Opposition to Canada's proposed same-sex marriage law has galvanized Canada's 442 Hutterite colonies to take a rare political stance, warning in a letter to Prime Minister Paul Martin that if such a law is passed, "We will be classed as traitors in God's eyes" and "we will live the darkest day in all of Canada's history." The letter was sent last week on behalf of the Hutterian Brethren Church of Canada, representing 31,000 Hutterites in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It makes reference to the biblical legend of Sodom and Gomorrah, ancient cities destroyed when God rained down burning sulfur to punish the sexual "wickedness" of their inhabitants.

I wonder if the cancellation of the hockey season could be evidence of this?
But say, don't ALL Canadians have this softspot for pederasty anyway?
Well, if God's judgment falls on them real soon there'll be some nice spots on the North Shore of Lakes Erie and Ontario to pick up for use as summer homes.

We need a government agency to encourage them to move (before it's too late, of course).
Those of the U.S. who meet these qualifications should also be encouraged to move to the NK Workers Paradise. The political climate will suit them perfectly, and they'll get a big kick out of Kim Jon-Il (especially when they start protesting).

Probably this incident in 2200-2300BC:
Aren't the Hutterites by saying such things guilty under Canada's hate speech laws?
There are several Hutterite colonies near where I live and they are the NICEST people, nonjudgemental and very helpful. They usually do not get involved in politics, but I think they are in Canada because they are conscientious objectors, and during WWII several were jailed or forced to serve, so some colonies left their land and moved to Canada. Lots have returned to South Dakota, Montana etc. They buy up huge chunks of land and sustain themselves from it. By the way, they are all allowed to retire at 50 and the community cares for them after that.
