Hillary Clinton is running so hard you might occasionally see some perspiration.
As if we needed further evidence of the running Hillary Clinton, yesterday she offered a suggestion for a new law, which, if enacted, would probably guarantee her election.
She proposed a national holiday for voting. The theory here is that people want to vote, but they can't because they're working. So if it was a day off, they would vote.
Frankly I think they would go do something fun and turnout numbers would fall even deeper in an already deep hole ... if you're a Democrat.
She also wants to repeal the rule or law or tradition that felons are not allowed to vote. This one is really good. Evidently she thinks, and Democrats think, that felons will vote for Democrats. Evidently she thinks people who have been to prison are more simpatico with the Dems than with conservatives.
First, I don't know if that is true, though it has the suspicious whiff of truth, but secondly, do Democrats want to be known as the jailbird party? Really?
If you've done time, you're a Democrat vote for Hillary. As a slogan it's probably a little clunky but you get the idea.
Does Hillary think these suggestions will become law? I doubt it.

Bull.
Frankly I think they would go do something fun and turnout numbers would fall even deeper
When I heard this, I couldn't help thinking that if Election Day were a day off, there'd be lot of pressure to move it to Monday -- for the ever-popular three-day weekend, and numbers would fall even more!
Well, there are already plenty of democrats voting six feet under...
"If you still get Valentines' Day cards from your former cell-mate . . . you might be a Democrat!"
"Felons jellen for Hillary"
Yes, and of course have the biggest effect on gubmint workers and collective labor unions.
So you're an exception to the rule. ;^)
Dead people don't work, Hillary.
Well this recent parolee is not a Democrat. Staunch and lifelong Republican here. Though threads like this make realize I am not very welcomed in this party some times. But then, I vote my principles and beliefs, not anyone else's.
Flash Alert to hillary:
The folks who would vote for her are not quite as employed as she imagines.
What bothers me most is the desperation to oppose Hillary is so strong that the relevant questions aren't being asked. I oppose her but my opposition is based on the facts and not the lie that she is using.
Another stupid idea from a Democrat who doesn't live in the real world.
Since voting is done on a Tuesday how many people will take a "sick day" to make it a four day "weekend", never vote at all, and get in late Monday morning?
Voting numbers will probably drop, but by then the "Election Day Holiday" will be entrenched as an entitlement, and the holiday card industry will make millions selling cards reading "Happy Election Day".
Hill's rationale? Make it even easier for them vote, and it could add an extra percent or two.
The unions would love it anyway, since it gets them another day off at their employers' expense.
The way I see it is that people like us who truely do clean up our lives tend to do so because we have become more conservative.
Its nice to see a republican parolee. You're welcome here. I'm a small town judge. I have to say that the majority (remember small town) of defendants are indigent, on some sort of public assistance and pretty accustomed to the government taking care of them or owing them. Evidenced by 95% of cases in my court qualify for a public defender. So, I'd say the majority would probably vote for the "entitlement" party, ie., democrat.
Ms. 'Fatankles' is looking to give the convicted felons, while serving their sentences, the right to vote regardless of if, when or where they're serving their time.
AND, oh by the way...she could give two farts about the millions of military votes that may get eliminated should the USPS screw-up the delivery of their absentee ballot to the serviceperson's designated election place.
So we shut down the airlines, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, police, fire, etc etc etc to ensure EVERYONE is off to vote?
Do those on welfare, the dead and the feeble minded really find work an impediment to voting? After all THAT's the Democrat core constituency.
