I don't think this is good news. Sitting Vice Presidents are not good bets to win election on their own. I also think they they are sometimes tired after working in an administration for 8 years. I think it is best to make a clean break to another administration after 8 years, no matter how good it is. I think their are a Lot of baloney rumors flying around the beltway all the time perpetuated by people who should no better. I suspect and hope that this is one of them.

I hope that is just a rumor as well.

As much as I like Dr. Rice, I do not want to see Dick Cheney step down, nor do I want a woman for our President.

I suspect you to be right.

Just idle and bored hands at work, dreaming of magic moves on a ficticious political chess board. ;)

I agree with you...Condi is strong on the international relations scene, being a Veep is not in keeping with her knowledge and abilities. Also, it sends a message of executive instability to the world.

Keep Condi as SS, bring in Colorado's Bill Owens.

sounds to me like a loony lib wet-dream....not a bit of truth in it....Cheney wouldn't have ran last year if he didn't intend to be there the whole 4....nice try, now go back to sleep

I also think they they are sometimes tired after working in an administration for 8 years.

My wife and I were talking about this this morning. After being National Security Advisor to the POTUS, an 8 day a week job, then SOS, a twelve day a week job, how is she going to have the energy to run for POTUS in 3 years? Of course, Veeps usually only attend funerals and take naps in the Senate, so maybe if she were nominated for Veep she'd have a chance to rest before 2008?
