I hope that is just a rumor as well.

As much as I like Dr. Rice, I do not want to see Dick Cheney step down, nor do I want a woman for our President.

Just out of curiosity - what are your concerns regarding a woman as chief executive?

You don't want her hand on the nuclear football when she's pre-menstrual...?

Completely agree.

Nothing would tickle my fancy more than seeing Russia, China, France or the UN put a woman in their highest elective office.

I admire Ms Rice and would hold her up as an outstanding role model for all young girls. But having a woman as our Commander in Chief, any woman, is akin to the exporting of our manufacturing base. All it succeeds in doing is to reduce our status and power on the world stage.

The globalists and our other enemies are licking their chops at the prospect of this.

It would be perfect if Dr. Rice would run in '08 as a counter to what could be a Hilliary candidacy. Women would come out in droves to vote for Hilliary if she were the only woman candidate, however if there were 2 women to choose from, there's a good chance the better one would win.

I don't think we can discount the novelty of a female candidate, even if it were Hilliary, who would more likely attract more voters if she were the only female running.

I don't want to see Dick Cheney step down either, but if he did, Condi would make the best choice.

As for 2008, why couldn't a woman make an excellent President and world leader. Margaret Thatcher did great in my book!

I agree with you, mb, on all points, but if I, being of the other gender, had said it first, I would have had my head (among other body parts) handed to me on a silver platter by the PCer's. I applaud your candidness.....and I too have a lot of respect for Dr. Rice. I'm very glad she is an important part of Bush's cabinet.
