Lindsey Graham is great! "We'll stay until the job is done."

I'm with you. I thought Graham was superb. Everyone is naturally dumping on Hillary, but I'm horrified with McCain's grandstanding. He started out with the usual platitudes, but did you notice how the bastard started telegraphing the only way we'd leave Iraq early is if the casualty level of our troops kept increasing?

Geeze, Louise!!! McCain is a puke traitor! For him to lead a press conference and essentially tell the terrorists, "If you start targeting huge numbers of our troops, the American people (read media) will see to it that this war ends in disaster."

Don't think for one minute Lindsey Graham's interruption of McCain's traitorous little speech was accidental. He bluntly interrupted McCain to continue talking about Social Security, a question he'd already answered!!! When Graham barged in on the pep talk McCain was giving to the terrorists, McCain made his famous clenched teeth/locked jaw face. McCain was furious that little Lindsey Graham shut him down.

I will forever be grateful to Lindsey Graham for that insightful episode. And I am stunned, shocked and dismayed that no one else on this thread is remarking about it!

Thank you for pointing that out. I was interrupted and didn't hear the last half of the press conference. Good job, Lindsey, even if you sometimes disappoint me. McCain shoots his mouth off way too much, methinks.

I'll have to take your word, didn't see it. I'm not surprised McCain would try to undercut our troops. I was going to slam the whole bunch as grandstanders but I suppose Lindsy gets a small pass if he cut McCain off.

I wonder why a number of people that think they are gods, people that are a one of TWO representatives for ONE state, think we care what they have to say? The President won the will of the country. They didn't. I find the grandstanding to be rather pathetic. The real heros are our troops.

When Rummy goes over there I know its about the troops and keeping apace of the war effort on the ground. When the President went it was about lifting the troops spirits. When these Senators go its about face time in front of a camera. They win no points with the public for these stunts.

Hey John, any other words of wisdom you wish to share with our enemies?

During the 2001 election, I saw McCain in person a few times during the debates when all the Republican candidates came to our town.

Even our state senator and mayor noticed that McCain, when the camera is not on him, is mentally unstable. He has an anger that is barely controlled and I've seen that bared teeth look you described, demkicker.

Didn't see the presser, but if McCain sunk that low, I'm just sick. What's so great these days is the technology that preserves every word. That speech will be shown, along with his many other self-serving comments, during any future run.
They should've gone out of their way to spend as much time as possible, lauding and giving support to our troops, buoying them up ... I HATE politicians!

So now Lindsey will forever distance himself from McCain? If so, what took him so long?

Please tell me he didn't really say or imply this.

People are going to wait on Lindsey...to see if he does his usual Hill Grandstand like in the past.

Give it time....he'll come out and say, like the dems, that there should be more Senate hearings...on whatever .....and bash the Pentagon.

Probably about how stuff is purchased......

WHICH IS ODD.....SINCE IT IS CONGRESS WHO SETS UP THE RULES OF PURCHASING>>>>>
