What chaps my a$$ is this:
Where were these folks when the hurricanes hit Florida last year?
Were they helping us when California got hit with the mudslides?
Dont recall anyone helping the people helping out in Oklahoma when they had the tornadoes.
Could go forever, and no one from outside US, to my knowledge, ever helped us when we could use help.
It seems like when anything happens anywhere in the world we are expected to be there Johnny on the spot, giving our national treasure, and getting our a$$ chewed out for not being there 30 minutes before the catastrophy happens.
Enough already........
Not only that but someone has cornered the market on Unobtainium.
Hello, my FRiend. Your earthquake map of Cali reminded me of this.
Be prepared to LOLFOTF.

All of those disasters combined were trivial compared to the Tsunami.
p.s. Warning. Contains graphic language.
The Cali part is at the end.
You mean THE FOX AND BRAIR RABBIT?
Bump and prayer
To the first part of your reply,
We don't need anyone else's help. We can and do take care of our own.
We also have it in us, as a nation with strong moral and religious values(All faiths included), to be unselfish and give a hand to others in need. Some say because we are the wealthiest nation (which, per capita, is totally untrue).
What is true, is that in the US, many times those with the least, give the most.
Second part of your reply, the criticisms from other nations have more to do with jealousy, and our interfering with their greed and corruption in the world arena than with the truth of our timeliness and magnitude of response.
They are just like our DEM WHINERS, complain, complain, complain. But what do they ever do?
We ignore those critics , and do the right thing regardless.

How the Military could have gotten information out of the terrorists.
Force them to watch that. They would do anything to get it to stop.
Believe me, you don't want to.

Northridge '94 (6.9)
Understand, but:
When that danged UN dude accused us of being "stingy" at the same time the Lincoln group was making full speed to help.
When probly most of the "Aid" we sent them is lining the pockets of corrupt local officials and most of the food, clothing etc is either rotting in warehouses somewhere or being sold.
They told the Lincoln group to help, but get the hell out asap.
It's hard for me to be chariatable.
Within 48 or so hours of the 9.X quake in Dec, I felt that there would be a 7.X in that area within 60 days. Or, on the opposite side of the ring of fire near Peru/Northern Chile etc. OR in the South Pacific or Japan.
But the sense was soooo subtle I couldn't really put any strong, reliable stock in it. Nevertheless, I have noticed that I personally have continued to expect it to prove true.
This 6.9 doesn't qaulify. But it seems somewhat alarmingly close. We shall see.
Has anyone else had any impressions, hunches, intuitions, Spirit-led inputs on such a thing? Am very curious, if so.
Several of my friends feel that something very ominous is looming very near in time.
My cat, Mandy, just meowed, then ran and hid in a closet. That's good enough for me. In 14 years, she's never been wrong..or right, for that matter. But, what the hell, she's a cat.
Indonesia - More than 400 aftershocks over past month, more expected in Indonesia's Aceh (AFP)http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/printpage/0,5481,12108952,00.htmlMore than 410 major aftershocks have occurred since last month's disastrous earthquake in Indonesia's Aceh province in December and the rumblings are likely continue for several weeks, the geophysics agency said Monday.
"Today there were already four that were felt," Syahnan, of the Geophysics and Meteorology Bureau, told AFP.
The bureau's data show that between December 29 and January 30, 410 major aftershocks took place. Syahnan said the data only includes quakes measuring four or above on the Richter Scale because if smaller aftershocks were included the daily total could reach more than 80.
