I thought it was legislation establishing "standards" applicable to all state driver's licenses ~ not a national driver's license.

We just recently got all the terrorists out of the system wo why would we want to sign on to a new system that hadn't yet been purged.

our congress critters excell at getting around the Constitution, that is why the bill is worded that way... it's called blackmail or coersion in the real world. they userp State's rights by making noncomplience with this Fed Bill nearly impossible. Montana juat passed their own DL Bill the other day that pretty well said "screw the Fed NDL coersion". and in doing so, the legal Mt residences will be not be able to use their state DL for ID at airports etc. looks like Mt has some congress critters that still have a pair.
