BTW: I found three separate instances of the same virus, not just the one posted above.

did you check the bug reports on java.sun.com?
how about norton?
This has been going on for a long long time. It happens with C++ files and Visual Studio 6.0
But to answer your question Yes, Sun is planning a super virus and is planning complete domination of the world through said virus

I don't know, but it sounds like you should give Symantec and Sun Microsystems a call. Symantec can download a copy and easily verify if it has a trojan like the one you got.
To: lafroste
Coincidence. There's a new trojan out that calls itself java.exe but has nothing to do with Java.

This is no big deal. Just delete your cache in the java console. ie delete all files. this will get rid of it. If you run a virus scan like AVG it will essentially neuter it by disabling it. It will still show up though in a virus scan. But if you deltete cache it will erase all of it. It is a pretty harmless little bugger.

if you try a search for BlackBox java virus you will find lots of references to it. Take off the foil hat and rest assured Sun didn't deliver it that way - you have another source which latched on & infected it.
