Too early to tell but uniting Lebanon's factions would be a magic trick. Lebanon is a tragedy and a mess and the ultimate quagmire.
It would be nice to see the Syrians go but that would leave Hezbolah as the dominant player.

The Syrian Embassy - They are snug as a bug in a rug - completely safe here in the US. But we just withdrew the US Ambassador to Syria for fear of his safety. Very telling about our two societies...

It might be more chaotic, but in terms of terrorism, there isn't much of a difference. Besides, it's time we go after Hizbollah.

I do not know how that would be achieved in reality. We can not count on Syria to stop the flow to Hezbollah.
Then there is the Jumblat Druse clan that is not predictable. There are too many unknowns for this to be reality.
I doubt a serious country can ever be built. Too many parties pulling in different directions.

Once Syria the main protector of Hizballah is gone, its Lebanese puppet government will crumble, and Hizballha will have little effect on what how to shape the new free and democratic Lebanon.

I wish it were true but who is going to disarm the militias and they are numerous and formidable. Hezbollah will hide in the Shouf mountains protected by the Jumblat clan. The country may be beyond repair .

No Lebanese faction want to ally themselves with Hizballah once the Syrians are gone from Lebanon. They all understand that Hizballah is a dangerous terrorist organization that will be eventually eliminated in the US war on terror.

This is defeatist thinking. Giving up is not an option. I suspect that this new Lebanese Insurgency will lead to the downfall of the Syrian Baathists -- and this time we won't be in the middle of it to prevent the blood vengeance.

How or what motivates Druze, Maronite, Sunni, Palestinian into a cogent coherent liberation movement ? I would like to see it myself but it is unlikely. Maybe if the Druze were promised autonomy .
Hezbolah and Amal have cooperated before . How do we unhitch that alliance. A series of population exchanges is an option. However that is unlikely.

Somehow, I think things were much nicer when the Jews were there. What bright boy thought replacing Israel with Syria was a good peace move? I personaly think you either have to have an IQ less than your age, or be more evil than Satan to be a politician in todays world.
