That's a pretty lame reason for why the team can't sell out playoff games in 2003

Yes, that is why I pointed out it is just one of many in my post. The team isn't marketed nearly as well as it should be, that's obvious. What is also obvious to just about every fan of the team I know is that they've needed a new building for years.

For some reason I'm not as dissatisfied with the Meadowlands as many fans are. The main problem with the location is that it's not in a downtown area -- so it's not convenient for weeknight evening events and really doesn't attract a corporate clientele.

The building itself is in very good shape, though. The sightlines are good, it's very flexible for hosting different types of events, etc.

If nothing else, I hope the cancellation of this season kills the ongoing plan to build a new arena in Newark.
