We had 8 years of Bill because conservatives underestimated the Clintons.

That may be true, but the differences between then and now are staggering.

Talk radio and internet were in their infancy then.

Poppy Bush was a weak candidate - he didn't really care if he won or not.

Perot was clintbilly's winning card.

All that said, I'm SO grateful that Poppy Bush lost. His son is a MUCH better president! We would NOT have had Bush/Cheney if 41 had won a second term.

I can't say I agree with you. I liked the first President Bush. Of course I like W more but if HW had gotten a second term then 9/11 might've been preempted and we wouldn't even remember Hillary by now (2005). Hillary who? Oh, that lady back in 1992...
