HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) - A man who murdered his mother and three other people in a bloody 1995 spree at a mobile home was executed.
Dennis Wayne Bagwell did not acknowledge the four relatives of his victims who watched from a window Thursday, but he thanked a spiritual adviser for being there.
"I love you all,'' he told the handful of people he had invited to watch him die by injection.
Bagwell, 41, denied involvement in the slayings of his mother, Leona McBee, 47; her niece, Libby Best, 24; Best's daughter, Reba, 4; and Tassy Boone, 14, the granddaughter of McBee's common-law husband.
All were slain at a mobile home in a rural area near Stockdale, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) southeast of San Antonio.
"I'm just glad it's all over with,'' said Tassy Boone's mother, Monica Boone, who witnessed the execution.

If you've got a middle name that has "Ray" or "Wayne" anywhere in it, it seems you are destined for the hoosegow or the needle.

Just a guess, but I'd bet that Texas is a pretty good place to live.

Good riddance to this loser. It took him just four months after being paroled for an captial attempted murder from 1982 to murder his mother and three other relatives. Notice that his mother was only 16 year older than he was.

Any day was a good day for this man to die. This is a dark soul indeed. God will be his true judge and will be holding a little four year old girl child in his lap when he passes sentence.
To: COEXERJ145
Only 10 years to the carrying out of the sentence? They are doing better. Get it down 9 more years and I'll say justice has been served.

If I read this correctly, he was convicted of attempted murder in 1983, released on parole in May 1995 and killed four people including his Mother the following September. So much for the 'Rehabilitation' of his first prison sentence. :-(

Get it down 9 more years and I'll say justice has been served. Nine years five months since the crime. That's nine years four monts too long.

How did he get out from the first capital murder conviction. That should have kept him in forever. That is the problem with liberal ideology...

Don't worry, if you missed it, we got 10 more coming in the next 3 months, barring idiot judges stopping them

Just a guess, but I'd bet that Texas is a pretty good place to live. It's a great place to live, but if you commit murder it's not a good place to die.
