Vanity: Please help with my kid's science fair project

My seventh grader is doing a science fair project involving "handedness". She needs a larger sample for her data. If you would like to help, please do the following: clasp your hands together with your fingers intertwined. Report which thumb is on top and if you are right or left handed. Thanks for your help! Standing outside the grocery store didn't work, even with tootsie rolls as a thank you. People were too afraid we were selling something!

Is she aware of applauding left or right handed? (which hand is stationary and which one does the hitting)

I think this might have something to do with where the index finger lands, as well....
...and don't give me grief about the middle finger...
I'm series (child, don't follow FReeper spelling!!!)
...if the index finger is on top of the fist...the thumbs go the other way!!!

I do remember the Captain...but I was fairly little. And we didn't have TV for much of my childhood.
Heh...now I have that tune stuck in my head, though!

Right thumb on top and I'm right-handed though I do use my left hand a little more when driving. I also am more likely to carry stuff in my left arm like bags, books or babies.

(But I'm one of those weird left handers that use my right arm).
