About 30 minutes ago, Michael Savage was talking to the mother of 2nd Lt. Patano. He was extremely upset after the interview. He said that he is donating $50,000 to Patano's defense and he also made a call to arms to take down the ACLU.
HE WANTS TO BRING DOWN THE ACLU! He said that if you buy his book, he will donate 10% of the sales to Patano's defense and he is now making it his main goal to take down the ACLU.
I do not know if he is completely serious, but if he is, this might just be the boost those of us who are interested in firing back at the ACLU need.
Please think this over and try to understand how hurtful our comments can sometimes be to the conservatives on the front lines who are fighting with us. Think how you'd feel if people were always cheap-shot second-guessing everything you said and did.
Sean should know that this is the burden of being a high profile media type that purports to speak for the conservative movement. It is not monolithic; we all have our opinions on how we should think and behave and most importantly BE REPRESENTED. This goes far beyond Sean, this includes Coulter, Ingrahm, Limbaugh, Malken and yes, even Michael Savage. Some of those I have listed I have zero regard for because of their behavior in the mass media, some I respect I great deal.
So, the question is, what shall be done about this? When I hear a Savage or a Hannidy say something I don't particularly care for, I don't think I should keep my mouth shut in order to spare his feelings or ego from a small bruise. When Savage is wearing his propeller beanie and ranting about stuff he knows nothing about (which is virtually everything), instead of wasting my time calling his show to "challenge" him (which involves a caller getting in 3 words in before Savage turns down the feed and starts shouting) we can discuss it here.
If Sean wants a gaggle of disciples, I suggest that he starts healing lepers and walking on water. In my opinion, FR needs not be a cheering section for the MSM conservative movement. They should be following our lead, not vice versa.

The Left Wing-ger RATS (the prevailing force in the Dim Party now) would rather filibuster Bush's USSC nominees and lose at least 2 or 3, maybe more, Senate seats in the next 4 years being the jack-asses they are. The USSC is where the Commies control and Deconstruct our nation/Constitution.
The ACLU, Liberal Judges, University Campi and Hollyweird...sheesh.
Sorry, I'm either drunk or confused (or probably both, what the heck, toss in senile to boot! LOL).
I had Hannity on in the background tonight while working in my home office, but don't remember hearing him talk to Russell Means again.
I think Hannity tore up Means a few nights ago.
Maybe Michael Savage talked to Means, but like I said, I don't listen to Savage anymore, he's just too upsetting.
If Savage blasted Means, good for him, that whack deserves to get blasted.
Some nice FR lady with a personal knowledge of Russell Means said he was a fraud as an American Indian the other night.
I heard Hannity get into it with RM a few days ago. So you're not drunk :-)
I could be wrong, but I always considered him a Libertarian
Michael Weiner does a radio SHOW, once you figure that out, and realize that it is all schitck, and not real passion, you will learn.
Don't follow Savage, Rush, Hannity et al.
They are showmen.
Go to school, learn, make decisions based upon logic, not upon hype.
Savage is the worst among the showmen.
They are a bastion of pro-American conservative Constitutionalism. They have NO Left Wing political agenda!! (sarc.)
Actually, I've pretty much toasted my Lontal Frobes by now, but thanks for clearing the combfuscation before I loll over in bed, LOL!
Always nice to pass out in the safety of friends.
The ACLU has like 300,000 LAWYERS funding them, PLUS GOVERNMENT funds.
Savage is not a Libertarian. He's non-partisan.
I totally agree.
If Savage is not a Libertarian, then he must be a populist. That would fit into the mold of a typical Talk Show host
Do you think that the Enemy of the State isn't already infiltrated?
The ACLU is working on their last deck of cards...and they aren't dealing all the hands now.
Infiltration demands that we walk our talk. I believe there are good people in the Free Republic who can get inspired to join the ACLU for the good purposes of this country. I believe discussions like this will set some wheels rolling.
I do not think that we should be obsessed with that type of hate we see on the left. Mike Savage was quite passionate today about the ACLU. I hope this passion motivated people to do something about this cancer of our culture, the ACLU. What I don't want happening is we let feelings of hate, instead of motivating us, cause us to indulge in the irrational thinking that is a characteristic of the left. We need our best thinking when it involves working the freedom for our fellow citizens.
Without screaming rants, more bad people - and good people, would be dead right now...lol
It's good to let it rip once in awhile for me. Righteous anger is not a bad thing...to sin not is the key.
Hey, welcome to FR!
Good advice, and very much needed.
Michael Savage is as flawed as each and every one of us here on this board and if everyone kept that in mind, they wouldn't be throwing stones at him or at any one else who has mustered the courage to be out on the front lines on our behalf.
