FReepers should take a poll of whom we'd prefer as MC of the Oscars.

Only way I will watch the Oscars is if Ann Coulter is hosting.

I don't care much for the Oscars, but Chris Rock is the best award show host I've ever seen.

Sean Hannity wouldn't know his left foot from his right when he walked onto the stage.

I'll vote for Chris Rock. He's an equal opportunity offender. Anyone who thinks he's racist because of cracker jokes has never heard his routines that take shots at other racial groups, especially his own.

I actually like Chris Rock's first two big-time comedy specials and have them on my computer. The third one that came out recently however, with him mocking President Bush on gay marriage, was about 95% commentary and 5% comedy, at least from what I saw as I had to turn it off because it was so crass and angry. His first two specials did have social commentary in them but it was subtle and he was genuinely funny, at least to me. Rock lost this fan and I'm sure others with the recent "comedy" special.

This guy apparently doesn't understand exactly how many white people like Chris Rock - and don't really care for Ellen Degeneres. Or, more likely, he doesn't want to.
That's without regard to whether or not Rock is the most appropriate choice - but I'm a little tired of all of this feigned shock at his act. Puh-lease.

As for who I'd like to see host the Oscars, Conan O'Brien.
