The only truethful part. Others are just speculations.
Russia doesn't ally with China. But China is the neibor of Russia.
Who needs problems with big neibor? So Russia just make peace.
If this comes to pass we just strangled ourselves with globalization. But this newspaper is pretty bad.

The moment any alliance with China in it becomes the dominant military force in the world, the Europeans will be kissing American ass like their lives depend on it and NATO will suddenly become important again. Nothing can touch the combined military power of NATO, not even this so-called BRICS alliance. In the end, the balance of power will be with the free world.
A Messianic Government could facilitate this process.

BRICS already exists but primarily as a lobbying group to preserve the interests of these countries at the WTO(all of them have similar interests)-all the talk of a strategic alliance between these nations has been going on for ages-YAWN!!
Russia, China to Conduct Joint Military Exercises: Putin

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin said June 30 during a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao that joint Russian-Chinese military exercises will take place later this year.
”Cooperation in the military-technical sphere and cooperation in the purely military sphere is in the process of expanding. This year we expect for the first time for many years to have joint military exercises,” he said in Novo-Ogarevo, outside Moscow, after greeting the Chinese president.
Hu arrived earlier June 30 for a four-day visit to Russia.
Russian news agencies have quoted military sources as saying that the exercises will be dubbed “Friendship 2005” and will take place in August.
Hu welcomed what he said was a “positive tendency” in relations between the two giant neighbors, welcoming the fact that border issues have been “definitively resolved.”
