SEN. CHUCK SCHUMER (D-NY) FALSELY CLAIMS PRESIDENT CLINTON AND
VICE PRESIDENT GORE NEVER SAID SOCIAL SECURITY WAS IN CRISIS

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Today:

Sen. Schumer: "I Don’t Believe [President Clinton Or Vice President Gore] Used The Word ‘Crisis.’" Fox’s Neil Cavuto: "Could I ask you this Senator -- if it was a concern for Al Gore when he was Vice President and Bill Clinton when he was President that he we had to shake up and do something different about the system nearly a decade ago, why is it not now? Sen. Schumer: "Well, they -- I don't believe they used the word ‘crisis.’" (Fox News’ "Your World," 2/16/05)

President Clinton In 1999:

President Clinton: "This Fiscal Crisis In Social Security Affects Every Generation." (President Bill Clinton, Remarks At Georgetown University On Social Security, Washington, DC, 2/9/98)

President Clinton: "So That All Of These Achievements -- The Economic Achievements -- Our Increasing Social Coherence And Cohesion, Our Increasing Efforts To Reduce Poverty Among Our Youngest Children -- All Of Them Are Threatened By The Looming Fiscal Crisis In Social Security." (President Bill Clinton, Remarks At Georgetown University On Social Security, Washington, DC, 2/9/98)

Vice President Gore In 1998:

Former Vice President Al Gore: "[B]ecause Of The Retirement Of The Baby Boomers, By The Year 2013, The Surpluses Built Up In Social Security Start To Dwindle Down. And Some Time Around The Year 2032, Social Security Faces A Serious Fiscal Crisis." (Vice President Al Gore, Remarks At Social Security Rally, Washington, DC, 9/24/98)

The socialists' strategy on SS is real clear. Just keep lying about what SS is, how bad the problem is, etc. and we can keep our hands on the PEOPLE'S MONEY. Their one and only objective. Money is power, and POWER IS ALL THEY CARE ABOUT. In reality, they could care less about SS and the "useful idiots". As long as they can steal the annual intake surplus and spend it for votes, the socialists are happy...

Man, that was quick on the part of the RNC.

I heard Chuck say this just a couple of hours ago on Cavuto's show.

The Democrats know that Social Security is in trouble, They are afraid Bush might fix it ,making them even less relevent.

How can Hillary get elected if she hasnt got the older people to frighten?
