PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (Reuters) - With their legal options almost gone, the parents of a brain-damaged Florida woman began a campaign of public protests and political pressure on Wednesday to keep their daughter alive. .....

"We will not rest until we save Terri from starvation. This is not someone who is brain-dead," Randall Terry said at a news conference with Robert Schindler. ......

He said he would also picket Michael Schiavo's home and workplace. ......

"This guy (Michael Schiavo) is a monster. The gloves are coming off," Terry said.

Would you post his address for us lazy people? I think it will take Governor Bush taking a hard stand to save this woman.

I am concerned to hear Randall Terry getting involved. He is a polarizing figure that I am afraid will detract from the obvious evidence that this woman is alive and not a "vegitable." I am not denigrating Mr. Terry, he has done what he thought right, but his presence may inflame radicals on the left that would have otherwise stayed silent. The vast majority of the public is on the side of stopping this case of judicial murder. We don't want to alienate that.

IMO, Randall Terry is not a polarizing figure. He has 20 years experience in media and he wasn't polarizing today. He held a credible press conference and it's myth that he's polarizing.

Oh, I'm on television right now on abc news inside our meeting. Catches us off guard. I didn't know a reporter was inside the mtg room.

I'm not sure of that. I agree that Randall Terry is a polarizing figure, but the people he polarizes generally live under rocks.

This case needs all the publicity it can get, because things are getting pretty desperate. This trio of criminals (husband, lawyer, and corrupt judge) must not be allowed to murder Terri without a very public fight.

Yes, the majority probably would oppose starving Terri, but at this point it's not clear that the majority are aware of what's happening. The case was big last year, but it has died down. We see these posts here, but there evidently hasn't been anything much in the Florida media or, still less, the national media. If we keep silent, most people wouldn't hear anything about what's happening until after she was killed, if then.

I really do not understand this entire debacle. Terri's parents want her; her "husband" does not. There is no money left to fight over. Why on earth doesn't he simply divorce her and let her parents have custody? Seems he is doing this out of pure meanness, as far as I can tell.

There is no money left to fight over..

There is no reason to think that there is not insurance money paid upon her death. If that was in dispute, they would of cleared that up years ago. It is also unclear if he has taken additional insurance out on her since the time of her 'accident'.

He has denied her any rehabilitation for over 12 years now hoping that she would just die. This could be the explanation. This was hidden for years.
