I'm perfectly willing to extend them a little understanding, if not downright sympathy from time-to-time...

And at the very least, the Muslims could make up funny jokes about it like everyone else.
This brings to mind an interview with retired Berkeley professor Michael Nagler. When asked how can one reason with terrorists, his response was: "The same way you reason with non-terrorists: by respecting their humanity and listening to their complaints; that opens the dialogue." This wacko is an absolute lunatic who thinks we can reason with islamofaschists whose only two options for us are submit or die.
I think I understand, and its one of the few things we can all agree on ;-)
