French Wine, Spirits Exports Sink 3.1 pct in 2004
02-16-2005 Fred Dufour - (AFP/File) PARIS (AFP) - French wine and spirits exports declined 3.1 percent last year to 7.57 billion euros (9.83 billion dollars), weighed down by a difficult economic context, a weak dollar and stiffer competition, the drinks export group FEVS said.
The 2004 downturn in exports was notably driven by a steep 22.3 percent drop in Bordeaux wine exports, the French Federation of Exporters of Wines and Spirits (FEVS) said.

Now that's just a heartbreaker. And now Bruce Morton is whining on their behalf too. Once I quit French wine, I'm not looking back. They should've thought of the consequences of their actions.
