The Jeff Gannon story is still bouncing around the Internet, and now there are pictures.
The kind you shouldn't open up in the office.
The X-rated twist has made for a lot of clandestine clicking in a town where Deep Throat conjures images not of a porn star but of a man in a parking garage. But it has also deepened the debate over blogging and the tactics used to drive a conservative reporter from his job as White House correspondent for two Web sites owned by a Republican activist.
In most Beltway melodramas, the resignation ends the story. The problem for Gannon, whose real name is James Dale Guckert, is that he told The Washington Post and CNN's Wolf Blitzer last week that he never launched the Web sites whose provocative names he had registered, such as hotmilitarystud.com. But a Web designer in California said yesterday that he had designed a gay escort site for Gannon and had posted naked pictures of Gannon at the client's request.

It's personal to them, because it gives them a scandal upon which they can accuse the administration on a number of bogus charges. Abu Ghraib didn't work, Gitmo didn't work, terrorist torture didn't work, so now they are moving on to a different angle of attack.

I am sure many gays voted for Bush. After all the Guppies have high income and no need for the special rights dolled out by the Dems. But to advocate conservatism one must actually live a moral lifestyle.
That is what separates the Republicans from the Democrats. Democrats would celebrate such 'diversity' and Republicans must above all else uphold moral values.
He sounded like someone doing a parody of a conservative.
This won't work either. So it's the Admin their after.Crazy road they are taking.
He had a day pass...
If everything said about Mr. Gannon is false I will post a thread apologizing for my gullibility. However, from what I have seen it appears that at least some of it is true. Whatever the case I hope Mr. Gannon can find peace.
Above all else we cannot parish like lemmings running off a cliff. The Dems did that in the 1990's and they are as dead as lemmings after falling off a 300 ft. cliff.
To you, perhaps. Have you read any of his other posts not related to this topic?
To: GeronLThe "Average" person in the US does not have access to Johns Hopkins, the Mayo Cliic or MD Anderson. These are some of the best hospitals in the US and they only accept certain insurance programs and you still have to pay a very high price. The bottom line is you get what you pay for in India and the US.

However, a government press(ing) for Islamic law to be incorporated in the new constitution. may not be good for the US.In the Old Days the CIA would have gone in deposed Saddam and installed a puppet. It may not have been pretty but it would keep the peace in the region.

Try viewing a couple, scrutinize, analyze, inspect with a cyberscope, and see if it adds up to 'a parody'. sheesh. FR should start selling Troll Glasses as FReeperware. "They think they're Invisible Invincible Conservatives, but YOU can spot 'em! Just wear these Troll Glasses to your next thread posting and be the life of the 'party'!
And the opposite is true for you - - - Jordan's a story, but an alleged male hustler being let into the White House on a regular basis, a few feet from the president at press conferences - no biggie. I bet you'd say differently if Clinton's folks had let a ringer in who also happened to be a male prostitute (allegedly). I happen to think BOTH stories are big - Jordan AND "Gannon"
Well said. Thank you as well.
Thank you for your response, arasina..I had gone back and read his posts.
And I can't believe I actually agree with you on something. :o)
ROTFL... seems this thread was linked from DU
What do you mean?
I doubt that this is strictly true. Perhaps Talon's web site wasn't up, perhaps Gannon got in on the strength of the subscriber list. Perhaps Gannon lied to get in. I have no idea.
It STILL isn't a big scandal, no matter how hard they try to make it one.
How do we know Gannon wasnt a RAT plant and this is all just a setup to embarass the President? I wouldn't put anything past them. In fact it seems like the most likely explanation. I just can't believe the White House would allow a known homosexual prostitute into the President's news conferences.
Think about it...an eager conservative journalist, willing to work for next to nothing...the perfect hire for a startup news group. Then he gets some face time, starts getting called on in press conferences, then BAM they spring the homo porn innuendu. Maybe Soros or somebody of his ilk is behind it.
Gannon may have a deposit to a Swiss bank account comming his way in exchange for allowing his reputation to be trashed. Bet those creeps over at Daily Kos won't look into THAT angle.

Gannons to the Left of Me
Softball reporter questions were routine in the Clinton White House.
You know, I really appreciate the NRO taking the time to go back to a Clinton press conference and detail the types of questions asked. For a while I was beginning to think my memory was faulty. LOL!
We don't know it, and you are exactly right. I would like to know the truth about this whole story.
I'd love audio tapes of some of those pressers to be played to the press in the White House press room..piped in for their own embarrassment.
