They have a cool audiovideo if you go to the Times. If you don't want to register, then use bugmenot.com .

You know, our military used Star Wars as a vision for their ICMB defense system. Then they used Terminator for their vision for Future Combat Systems. I just hope they get around to seeing the Matrix. What's going to stop the military industrial complex from taking over the world?

LOL, I met Peter Weller in Houston during the filming of Robocop,
he hated that movie and the outfit.

I work for a company that has developed (and is still developing) robots for military use. We've made some stuff that does some fairly impressive things.

I think it is fair to say, however, that the robot remains a tool of the soldier and not a replacement for the soldier.

The robot is something that a soldier can use to send ahead into a cave in Afghanistan or into a hot zone building in Iraq. It's good to have a disposable point "man" to send around the corner ahead of our troops.

Its a good and useful thing.

HG Stine, was writing about robots in combat with the Washington Grays 15-20 years ago.

His conclusions, somebody is going to have to put their pink bod on the line.

Always will need muddy boots on th ground just not as many.

And one thing robots will do is control US!

I demand the right to keep and bear my own robot, thank you.

Great. The military can introduce a cool gizmo yet they still can't figure out a way to find roadside bombs.
