     Long time Albuquerque resident Jeremy Reynalds is best known for his work with Joy Junction, the shelter for homeless families he founded in 1986 and continues to direct.

 

     However, there's another side of Reynalds that is not quite as well known -- as a  terrorist hunter.

 

     For almost the last three years Reynalds has investigating a number of Islamic terrorist web sites, many of which are hosted by American Internet Service Providers.

 

     According to Reynalds a few weeks ago a "hot" jihadi Internet terror site was Mawsuat, located at www.mawsuat.com/. Just hours prior to the Iraqi elections this site was taken off-line by its American Internet service provider after being alerted to its contents by Jeremy Reynalds.

 

     From friends at Internet Haganah, Reynalds has learned that his part in the site's demise has made some jihadis very upset.

 

     Recent threats posted on the Houston-based radical Islamic site Ansarnet (www.ansarnet.ws/vb/showthread.php?t=27276), have been translated by Internet Haganah's owner Aaron Weisburd. 

 

     Weisburd comments on these posting, "The person who ran the now-defunct mawsuat.com site starts by blaming Reynalds for the site's demise ...  and asks if anyone else has more information about him."

 

     Weisburd continues, "In the discussion that follows, the Islamists first .. .ask ...  that (Reynalds) might be ‘visited,' then (they post) a picture of him and a wish that his ribs should be broken, and finally they offer their prayers to Allah that He should deliver to them Reynalds' ‘fatty neck' - a clear reference to the current fad of decapitating anyone deemed to be a critic of the more lethal forms of Islam."

     Reynalds is scheduled to be on the O Reilly Factor (www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,135164,00.html) on Feb. 16 (barring last minute breaking news). The show airs between 6pm and 7pm and 9pm and 10pm Mountain Time on the Fox News Channel.

I think that the ISP, HostForWeb, may have legal liability because they are allowing  solicitation for murder.  We're seeking a lawyer who can present this case to an Illinois court to force the ISP to release the server logs, IP addresses of people uploading the content, and the names of the people paying the hosting charges for ansarnet.ws

 

ansarnet.ws is an important al-Qaeda site. It's the primary location where numerous beheading videos are announced, videos of attacks in Iraq, and recently a hoax of a toy doll dressed as a soldier.

"Analysts asked about potential perpetrators of the hoax said it was possible the scam was a so-called "black" information operation by the U.S. government or an ally intended to hurt the credibility of ansarnet.ws."

Instead of speculating, we could just look at the server logs and we'd know who's uploading the content.  A court order would allow us to do just that.

Your description of al-Qaeda as a 'death cult' hits the nail on the head. We need to ask who is behind it and how and how they are turning their children into monsters. It's not poverty or grievances against the USA, Israel, which fuels their hatred.

Someone with a lot of money and power thinks it's very important that ansarnet.ws be kept up and running, spewing hatred and death, and recruiting new jehadis. Notice how fast it was resurected after being shut down in Houston. This is no ordinary jehadi hate site.

I believe future al-Qaeda terrorist are being produceds by brainwashing in the thousands of madrassas and mosques funded by Saudi terrormasters. No less important is the brainwashing in the thousands of websites funded by ___________ (we'll need a court order to fill in the blank -- and shut them down).

The FBI needs to get on the case.

I wish the FBI would. However terrorism is only a crime after U.S. citizens have been murdered. You can't throw a person in jail for wanting to learn how to pilot jumbo passenger jets (but not how to take off and land). Even more so, you cannot profile a person because he's of middle eastern extraction or speaks Arabic.

There have been several FBI agents at district field offices who have made those mistakes -- and reported their suspicions to higher-ups in Washington. They are no longer in the service of the FBI.

An update on last week's story about the Internet war: Jeremy Reynalds, who traced back the story behind the alleged "hostage doll," has received a death threat. It was posted on one of the main Web sites used by al Qaeda sympathizers.

Reynalds, who does his cyber-sleuthing in his spare time, says he won't back down.

"I am now more determined than ever to keep on pursuing my 'hobby.' If these thugs think that this will intimidate me, they have picked the wrong person," he said.

First thing O'Reilly made the statement without knowledge that "those websites are outside the USA". Wrong, the sites were in the USA.

Now I realize why I don't usually watch O'Reilly.

Jeremy was able to make it clear that the sites originated in Houston at EV1. I thought he spent too much airtime detailing one of the snuff films and the now defunct Mawsuat. The time could have been better used explaining that the death threats are still online at Ansarnet(after the site moved to Chicago). And the guy who put up Mawsuat traces to the USA.

All things considered, Jeremy did a great job.
