Making and testing predictions based on survival of the fittest is scientifically verifiable. Evolution as a model for the origin of species can not be tested, and does not provide any useful predictions other then those which could be made by other models.
This was all made clear and was well argued in the article. As a matter of fact they dissected the "only two ways to look at and the other side are Biblical Literalism" straw man fallacy you just used at length. Which makes me wonder if you actually bothered to read the article.
I read it. saw nothing new.
Intelligent design: God did it.
Evolution: It happens from the nature of life itself.
I did a few chaotic studies of predator prey interactions some 20 years ago. The techniques I developed are common now. Of course if you have intelligent design, then all the statistics are just accidental, rather than meaningful.
G-d(s) made the world, and the laws by which it operates. If he made the critters separate from those laws, then the laws are meaningless, and are a lie. If he made the critters by letting the laws operate, then the laws have meaning, and are a form of revelation.
Do(es) G-d(s) lie?
