What would happen if the players decided to arrange their own games, own tv revenue, etc.? I mean, just to shake things up? Imagine players from Wings and the Avs deciding to began training on their own and to arrange a game at some large venue. Could something like this lead to an entirely new league?

Want to watch hockey? Call up your local rink and find out when the Squirts or Mites (a division) are playing.

Go to the rink, buy yourself a drink and a sandwich and enjoy the game. Hockey in its purest form.

Want to watch Baseball? Do the same thing with your local little league.

I get more enjoyment from this than spending 100+ dollars to watch grown men whine about money.

"Could something like this lead to an entirely new league?"

No. Because if that was the case they would play with the reduced salaries. What should happen is that all these money losing teams fold and the teams that are making money consolidate the best players.

If that happens to be six teams again, so be it.

Bring in the scabs, I say!

Don't be silly! No real hockey fan is going to pay for that.

I say nuts to the NHL owners and the NHLPA.I'm happy watching AHL, college and high school hockey. And I don't have to pay a fortune.
