For all we know, these illegal may never have existed. Its possible that the leftist at the Denver-ComPost made the whole story up. Kind of like CBS and GWB's forged Air Guard memos.

That's my opinion also. He'll have to spend the next 4 years push something other then immigration if he wants a shot at the White House.

It's not Tancredo's fault that most people think of the illegal immigration issue when they think of him. The fact that he's outspoken enough on this issue to get noticed doesn't mean he doesn't have strong opinions on other matters. He's a genuinely small-government, pro-strong-foreign-policy conservative. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders all around.

Murder, Crime, Drugs, Smugglers, Kidnapping, etc. etc. & the Corrupt Mexican Gov't are all adding to the illegal immigration problems at our southern borders.

And most think Mexico will only get worse after her 2006 elections.

America lost over $420 BILLION in uncollected tax revenue last year from employers not reporting those wages.

That would pave a lot of roads, build a lot of schools - even put quite a few unemployed Americans back to work.

Taking good, strong stances is not on other isues is not enough. He actually has to demonstrate that he can lead on a variety of issues. The only place where he's shown leadership is on immigration.

Which is fine. We need a strong leader in congress to spend 100% of his energy fighting the open borders lobby. A presidential candidate, however, needs more breadth. This in no way belittles the importance of his work.

Unlike some people here, apparently, I want people who have proved they can actually win large campaigns. If I had a candidate that agreed with me 100% of the time but couldn't win, what good would he be? None of my ideas would go anywhere.

If he was in a hurry to run for President, he should have run for Senate last time and won.

But if he runs for Governor in '06, he might be a viable candidate in '12, or even a VP pick in '08.

Like an Internet poll that is being manipulated actually has meaning.

This will be *THE* issue of 2008.

For 1% of the population it will be. For the rest there will be more important things to concern themselves with.

Running Tancredo would do nothing but restore the Democrat Party to power for another 50 years. The only good thing about him running would be he could finally be exposed for what he really is and go join Buchanan in the ash heap of political history.

Tancredo hiring a contractor who employed illegal aliens is no more a relevant story then President Bush's National Guard service is. They are both discredited non-stories intended to smear, and that's the extent of it.
