Am I the only one who finds Jane Fonda's new announcement grating? All the time she was putting people through the wringer with her workout tapes, and making millions doing it, she was controlling her own weight by throwing up. Living a lie is what I call it. Where is the apology to the people who paid their money for what was in essence a fake? Obviously, she not considering financial restitution.

Bulimia doesn't cut down on calories, especially if it's stress-induced (which is probably true in her case, I don't see how anyone could be bulimic on a regular basis for 35 years and not get serious consequences). Few bulimics will overeat if they know they won't have the opportunity to purge it.

"The reason I've been excited about coming here is because I believe if we're going to solve the problems confronting the world on every level, it's going to have to be the girls who do it," Fonda said. Man am I glad the 60's have passed on by never to return.

She's been suffering from something 'bull' related, but bulimia is far down the list IMO.
I think she's trolling for pity after her act last year. She apologized for her Vietnam comments and now wants have good thoughts about her and become a likeable figure again while she works up to apologizing for the anti-American tripe she spewed
Toss off Hanoi Jane, I'm tired of you and your act.

"I was bulimic for 35 years," Fonda, 67, said. "I mistook the physical hunger for spiritual hunger."And she didn't do diddly about the spiritual hunger anyway, except pursue communism.

I just read the article. One correction to what you've said, she doesn't really say she was bulemic for the "past" 35 years, but that she was bulemic for 35 years of her life.
