It concerns me as well but it is like excessive government spending. We didn't get to this point over night so don't expect a solution tomorrow morning.
If we were to deport every illegal alien tomorrow, unless we physically close the borders at the same time, within a month most will be right back here doing business as usual.
Figure out a realistic way to close the borders and then you can worry about the ones already here. Until then it is all an exercise in futility.
Furthermore, in order to "deport every illegal alien tomorrow" -- or even within a year -- we'd have to institute something like a police state, and the "cure" would be worse than the "disease".
There are many things we could be doing better in order to combat illegal immigration, but expecting any sort of resolution overnight, or one anywhere near 100% effective, is just fantasy.
