~ MILITARY SHORT SPEAK ~ |
 |
The military seems to have a language of its own, with many terms, Acronyms, initialisms and abbreviations that aren't generally used in the "civilian world." What is an acronym? It is a word created from the first letter of a series of other words. It is spoken as one word. What is an initialism? It is a word created from the first letter of a series of other words, but each letter is spoken separately. What is an abbreviation? It is a shortened version of a word. What is Short Speak? It is any and all of the above. Want to know what they are talking about? Read on... |

Good morning Everyone. Good morning to our

Military, our Allies and their families.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY. I have a question for our wonderul military and our allies..........

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?
This is a drive-by post. This week is report week and time cards. Plus I will be taking off early on Friday. This make for a short week. First thank you Star for opening the doors to the Canteen this morning and your continued dedication.
Second, for all you love-birds out that who want a nice romantic movie to watch, try The Notebook. Be warned.......there is a "hanky alert" that goes with it.

Now remember, the Canteen is always

So, come on in and sit for a while. There's alway plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS.

Today's FEEBLE

YOKE :
Since I worked at a supermarket checkout, my hobby was to guess what each customer would be preparing according to the ingredients they bought. "Blueberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow?" I asked a young lady.
"Well, they're blueberry-cranberry-ginger muffins," she replied, and then went on to explain the unique recipe was sent to her from a friend who lived far away. Seeing my look of scepticism, she left, saying: "I'll tell you what. If they turn out, I'll bring you the recipe; if they don't, I'll bring you the muffins."
