Homosexual marriage, unintended consequences (Law & Order)
Law & Order

Posted on 02/12/2005 9:13:32 PM PST by umgud

Law & Order tonight; Corrupt Connecticut governor's wife murdered by corrupt contractor who has been getting special treatment and contracts from said governor. The murder occured while the governor is having sex (100 miles away) with the corrupt contractor's boyfriend.

After much detective work, contractor's gay boyfriend admits that corrupt contractor confessed to him that he did in fact kill the governor's wife because she had found her hubby in a gay affair and threatened to expose him, which would have ruined things for all involved.

Midway thru the trial, the corrupt contractor's lawyer asks the judge to not allow the gay boyfiend's testimony because of spousal privilige. It turns out the boyfriend and the corrupt contractor were married in New Paltz (sp?) NY.

McCoy has to go to appeals court to nulify all the New Paltz marriages, even though they were at that time in limbo.

What a sticky wicked web we entwine ourselves in. Kudos to the Law & Order crew for their creativity in responding to the new realities of life.

'The Price Better Be Right or the streets will run red with your blood'... A game show in an Arab country where the 'guests' are foreigners.

I can imagine all sorts of philosophical arguing between jaded liberal McCoy and his conservative boss and between McCoy and his beautiful idealistic lefty assistant. That show has really livened up since they hired Fred Thompson to play the head prosecutor.

Jesus said: "And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore, they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." -from THE BIBLE: Matthew 19:4-6

Aside from the homo stuff, this story is remarkably close to the story of former CT Gov John Rowland. Was he a closeted fag?

Does that state still allow spousal priviledge? Many states have done away with it or have limited to next to nothing.

Look for more TV which has homosexual marriages even though the law does not allow it.

There was a San Franceeesco newspaper story posted earlier which says 20 states are expected to have marriage amendments approved or up for election by 2006.

It is a screwy situation. For example, CT is going to have a marriage amendment BUT the legislature has democrats trying to rush through approval of homosexual marriages.

The gay marriage shouldn't have been valid anyway regardless because he was already married when he "married" the man and therefore the bigamy statute would've made the second marriage invalid and since it is invalid spousal privilege-shouldn't have applied in the first place. I know absolutely zilch about the law but I know that.
