USA USING 'DRONE' AIRCRAFT TO SPY ON IRAN
Sat Feb 12 2005 20:00:05 ET
The Bush administration has been flying surveillance drones over Iran to seek evidence of nuclear weapons programs and detect weaknesses in air defenses, the WASHINGTON POST is planning to splash on Sunday.
Newsroom sources tell DRUDGE: The small, pilotless planes, penetrating Iranian airspace from U.S. military facilities in Iraq, use radar, video, still photography and air filters designed to pick up traces of nuclear activity to gather information that is not accessible to satellites, the officials said. The aerial espionage is standard in military preparations for an eventual air attack and is also employed as a tool for intimidation.
The Iranian government, using Swiss channels in the absence of diplomatic relations with Washington, formally protested the illegal incursions, according to Iranian, European and U.S. officials, all speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter.

Beat me by 12 seconds!
"We are not spying on Iran, we are looking for...um.. illegal aliens.. yup, thats it... and its not in Iran, it just seems that way but we're actually looking at the Mexican border..."
I should hope so. Tough to destroy nukes if you don't know where they are.
I hope that we are using these over North Korea too.
Rash of UFO sitings over Iran lately...
I thought it was the AP's job to betray us by providing the enemy with aid , comfort and targeting info. Matt you and Brian are true American patriots. Sarcasm Off/
Thanks.
I feel the same way.
But what purpose does it serve for this story to be published? What good could come from it?
good
Only serves the media purpose of giving away military secrets whenever possible. They are a sorry and unpatriotic lot. They do this, and then will blame the administration when problems arise from their reporting.
That sounds like a perfect way to give the Iranians some free nukes...
Yea, so?
The State Department calls the Islamic Republic of Iran the world's "most active state sponsor of terrorism." We are in a war against the very type of terror which Iran sponsors/harbors/facilitates. Printing news stories which put at risk any American lives and/or undermines us in the war has become common place. In WWII the enemy was demonized by news media. Today, the enemy is often times emboldened by our media.
Drones are hardly a secret. There's a recent model parked in the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
OK. I'm not understanding your point.
Send in the BLACK HELICOPTERS!! The mullahs will sh*t!!!
