I guess that these Beltway metrosexuals have never considered getting a MAN'S JOB? Heck, it sounds to me that most of them are still young enough that they could actually JOIN THE MILITARY and DO SOMETHING FOR THE NATION - FOR A CHANGE!!! (Psst....Hey, RatBoy, did anyone tell you that WE'RE AT WAR!!!)
If nothing else, Halliburton (or Kellog, Brown, and Root) has about 900 openings over in Iraq that pay REALLY well. In all sorts of various fields, many that these professional losers are qualified for.

I find it strange that "Some lost their health insurance". Wouldn't COBRA give them 18 months coverage, unless they had been short term temps?

Exactly. They need to get in line for the Wal Mart jobs behind the well educated IT professionals who had something legitimate to offer.

Donk Clerk: "Are you sure you want fries? They are bad for you and for the environment."
Customer: "Say what?"
Manager: "You're fired!"

When you work for a politician your future is sort of linked to that politician. Try getting a real job instead of a political job.

Seems St. Pete Times had no idea how much we'd enjoy this article. When I follow the link I get ....

This whole thing smells like a big PR stunt I wonder how many of the applicants parading around for the cameras really were jobless? I wouldn't be surprised if they only allowed potential employers who had no openings to set up booths.
Besides if I were a real employer, a Democratic photo op would be the last place I would go to look for quality employees.

Now he spends much of his time, unshaven, watching old action movies, including The Great Escape, in his apartment just outside Washington. He has been on some job interviews, but it hasn't gotten much further. Meantime, Chiller applied for unemployment benefits. "No one has left the city," he said. "This is what we do. We can't imagine doing anything else." parasites

Sample resume...
Experience with DNC:
- Drafted legislation demanding a 35-hour work week.
- Organized violent union protest of Wal-Mart
- Prevented office complex from opening near a tree housing a "rare" brown & white squirrel
- Raised taxes on local companies to fund anti-business initiatives
Gee, I wonder why they can't find a job...

Is this for real? I thought all states did as California. Create hundreds of boards and commissions as unemployment insurance for unemployed political hacks. Meet a couple times a year to collect your fat (some cases six-figures) unemployment check.

The only thing these people are qualified for is picking up an unemployment check and living at home with mom. Kind of sad. Wasn't John Edwards just ranting again about the Dems being the party of "working" people? Must have been thinking of prostitution or something.

And so the next generation of leeches on the body politic hangs on in DC, determined to escape the real world the rest of the peons who support them live in. How disgusting!

Nothing sinister here. Our forensic team out here indicates that a period was left out of the original link (i.e., "_.shtml", not "_shtml"). We doubt that the SP Times has clue we're having so much fun with their article.
