This is just in...
Around 1500-2000 freedom loving people gathered in the most famous park of Tehran in North of Tehran (Between 7pm-11PM last night) to protest against the regime of the Mullahs.
Various reports indicate that the security forces detained the speaker of the protestors. she was detained and sent to Evin prison.
VOA Persian service also confirms the same report.

Free Persia is just that, free todays Iran. Not Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan
..
The beginnings of this revolution should be as it is described in this Thread.

For those who may not know, 75% of the population of Iran is under the age of 30. The Mullahs' time is limited. All the young Iranians need is some Sixties music and some big speakers.

Iraqis as Arabs are in no way related to Iranians. They are a have a different culture, history, heritage, ethnicity, language and a real different apperance.
Only ethnic Iranians are Persians.
Be careful with the comparison - Persians and Arabs hate eachother.
To: Khashayar
I dunno, I heard a BBC reporter on NPR saying that the Iranians don't feel oppressed and think it's "rich" that Americans would suggest they are given Abu Ghraib. [rolls eyes]

Time for some prayers for the speaker? She has mine. Mine, too. She has great courage to do what she did.
I so admire the risks people will take in the pursuit of freedom.
Things like that should remind all Americans never to take our own freedom for granted.

Did you hear this recently?
Whoever that BBC reporter was, sounds like he/she works for the regime. (or certainly sympathizes with them)

"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice drew attention Friday for her comments on Iran, when she said a military attack was not on the agenda at this point. Melissa Block talks with the BBC's Frances Harrison about the reaction in Tehran."
