Well, the left may have driven Jeff Gannon out of the media, but we're way ahead on the count with all the CBS people, Arnett of CNN and probably some others that I can't think of right now. We can't count Jayson Blair, we didn't have anything to do with that one.

CNN's chief news executive Eason Jordan attends the Peabody Awards for broadcast and cable excellence on May 17, 1999, in New York. Despite comments that may have left a different impression, Jordan said that he does not believe that the U.S. military intended to kill journalists in the Iraq war. Jordan continues to be involved in a controversy over comments he made at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland last month. (AP Photo/Ed Bailey)

If this is true, Hugh Hewitt's prediction on Chrissy's Sunday show (which I boycotted--I read about it here) that the Eason Jordan story would break big this week was correct.

In addition, on election day when many on the right were in panic mode, Hugh was not. He is establishing an excellent reputation for credibility.

You've been on the Eason case, no?

Not all that much. But MSM types usually don't go down this easy without a good reason.

How magnanimous of him, resigning to avoid CNN from becoming "tarnished"! Decipher his dissembling and what he's really saying is that he got the sack.

There are alot of all sorts of people being killed in Iraq, in particular Iraquis. How about them!!!

They don't count. Just CNN journalists who conspire with terrorists to get ambushes of American troops on tape.

In a week in which the MSM has been at war with the bloggers and the "new media" (see Gannon-affair and also the Maryland aide story)--it looks like we won another round.

This only means the MSM will freak out even more, and launch another attack on Free Republic and the bloggers.
