Actress Jane Seymour waved a small US flag and cheered as she and 9,000 other immigrants became US citizens during a naturalization ceremony in Los Angeles today.
The British born actress, best known for her TV series role as 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman' said she has been in the United States since 1976.
'Ive realized that I've been living here longer than in my home country. American has given me unbeliveable opportunities,' she said. I realized with the US elections I wanted to vote and I couldn't. I felt the time had come to particiapte more fully.'
Seymour, 53 wore a cream colored suit to the ceremony at the LA Convention Center. She sat among more than a dozen US military personnel who also recieved citizenship.
The actress has been married four times and has five children. On of her ex-husbands is Lord Attenborough's son Michael.
It was Humphrey Bogart. And it wasn't Gerber. According to Snopes.com, it was Mellin's baby food
that had him on the label, thanks to Bogart having a mother that was a commercial artist.
FWIW, Bogart was 30 when Gerber started selling baby food.
I liked Seymour in the original Battlestar Galactica.
That movie confirmed in my mind that she was the most beautiful actress of the time.
I wonder if her twin sister became a citizen too?
Jane Seymour was always a classy lady.
I live in Los Angeles. From my perspective, there are no cities in Connecticut; only small villages.
Thanks for the info.
I didn't know she was on 'Smallville' I might watch it now..

BIRMINGHAM Jane Seymour, the actress who is probably best known as Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, stood quietly with her husband, actor/producer James Keach, in the lower level of the posh new Birmingham home of Townsend Hotel owner Keith Pomeroy.
I was introduced to Childhelp about 18 years ago, says the Emmy Award-winning actress, who was in Metro Detroit for a special Childhelp benefactors party on Oct. 4. It has been a passion of mine ever since.
Close to 100 people were at the V.I.P. preview party to the main event, which took place at the Townsend Hotel on Oct. 9. Tickets to the fifth annual Celebrate the Child event were $225. Benefactors paid $500 and were invited to Pomeroys party, where cocktails, sushi and dessert were served.
Proceeds from these events support the Childhelp USA Greater Detroit Auxiliarys mission to develop and operate therapeutic foster care homes and to build the Childhelp USA Residential Village of Michigan.

Live and Let Die is one of my favorite Roger Moore Bond movies - the other is the Man with the Golden Gun.
Tell me she joins Anne, Laura, etc. on the Conservative Hottie list.
"Solitaire"--I remember how pretty she was in that movie. She has aged VERY gracefully.
Glad she is US Citizen now! Way to go Jane.
Rachmaninoff: Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini. You want the 18th. variation.
Bye...
..yeah she's on Smallville now and plays a classy bitchy rich lady kind of like Alexis Carrington.. a role I've never seen her in..
Question: Does Jayne Seymor *really!* have a TWIN sister?
She wasn't the model for the Gerber baby--some non-famous lady holds that title. The lady is pretty old--born in the 20's or 30's. I think Jane did do Gerber commercials as an adult for awhile though.
Nancy Green was born a slave in Montgomery County, Kentucky in 1834. Her given name was Nancy Green, but the world knew her as "Aunt Jemima." Although the famous Aunt Jemima recipe was not hers, she became the advertising worlds first living trademark. She was attractive, friendly, a good storyteller, and an excellent cook. Her ability to project her warm and appealing personality made her the ideal "Aunt Jemima."

Why? Where is you going?
Nope, Bogart was the model for an ad for the Mellins Baby Food company, in a drawing done by his mother, who was a prominent illustrator.

I don't know for sure, but I think it is possible that she is on the right side. I saw her once on Bill Maher's show, and she stood up against Maher in the defense of Laura Bush. She maintained that Laura was a wonderful person, and when Maher objected, she asked him had he ever met Laura. When he admitted that he hadn't, Jane stated that she had met Laura and knew what a wonderful, kind person she was. She basically shut down his attack of the First Lady.
